-Episode 2-

Another excellent episode full of mystery and nice fights, now we see how this is moving forward with all those hints about Kyouma's past and what is Mira looking for after her father's death.

For some reason I feel like Mira is actually a human inside of a robot body but for now this series is just getting better and better, one of the best this season.

Looks like it's all connected in some way..
Kyouma sure is impressive!
I'm still interested, so I'm gonna give it one more episode before final decision.

Another great episode and the first with Kyouma and Mira working as a team, though each did their respective tasks separately. We also know about the mysterious Loser who is seeking a specific coil series and also has a lot of knowledge about Kyouma's past.

Finally and also unexpected is the gruesome result of a coil going haywire/dimension breaking. No wonder New Tesla keeps that stuff hidden from the public.

Another really good episode. I was pretty shocked by what happened when the illegal coil went out of control. Now I get why Kyoma hates them so much despite their usefulness to society. I see the manga started in 2011 after the Fukushima incident. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Loser felt like a real, well, loser at first but he turned to be a really cool and interesting character. Another man who has lost almost everything because of New Tesla.

I enjoyed it as much as I did with the 1st episode. And yeah, I was also pretty shocked to see what happened when illegal coils going burst in the manga.

For some reason I really love Reina's acting in this show, a real step up from the time she did Hanayamata. Her voice here is just so pleasant and refreshing to listen to.

So we have MC character designs and similarity from Solty Rei, MC weapon from Darker than Black, the robotic tail from Hand Maid May, the energy coils from Guyver, the rabbit robot ears from Appleseed, and Loser's outfit from Code Geass's Zero. Well, the author is taking liberties from a lot of series so far. I'm sure there are other references he used, especially with Kyouma's design and outfit (a little Mugen from Samurai Champloo, among others) and Mira's as well (some Ranka from Macross Frontier). I'll just take it that he is playing homage to those series.

That said, the series continues to be entertaining. It has interesting characters with an interesting plot-line. The action is excellent, and the story is coherent. If it keeps up, it will be one of the better animes this year.

I'm wondering if Mira's original coil was a "numbers" as well? She did mention that the current one she has is a regular one, which reduces her powers.

Nah, you overthinking here SR an DtB are likely (but not certainly) inspiration. Similarites with other shows you mentioned are more than just little flimsy.

Oh ... oh wow.

That was ... excellent. In so many ways too. This season is a really strong one for me thus far.

Especially towards the end with the Dimension W accident - that was rather ... chilling.

Hopefully this series can keep this up!

This is definitely a keeper. All the characters are likable and there's a nice hidden conspiracy going on. I definitely want more.

I swear this arc was longer in the manga, but meh it doesn't matter since this was adapted quite well with nothing major I can think of missing.

It anyway this nicely got across the double edge nature of Dimension W that coil can tap into furthermore the "Numbers" have been kind of introduced for the first time. Scary thing is this just small scale example of what happens when illegal coils are misused compared to later.

Actually this is a only a small part of it. You don't have hate illegal coils to a be Collector, in fact not using any coils at all is only specific to Mabuchi in that business as implied by Loser. The episode hints that Mabuchi has a more personal reason with the mention of the anti-Coils Task Force Grendel.

Kyouma has a heart of ice to not respond to that question. XD
Though I loved how hard willed he was to leave that curator to his gruesome fate of getting split apart and replicated within the collapsed dimension to save his own life. And to think teh curator was still alive while having all of his bodyparts copied and mushed together with the lady robots!!! Uargh, what a crazy feeling that must be!!! >.<

So Mira was there when the mother and daugther were murdered? Damn, what a terrible birthday, born, gotten a name and your creator dies right away. :c

Loser and his son/daugther/partner seems interesting, that half-burned/half-robot face looked pretty darn cool!

And Kyouma was part of an elite squad fightin coil machines in some past war? Cool!

But if a little illegal coil can already create such a mess... what would happen if one of those huge coil reactors would "break down and collapse"? <.<

Well this is looking like one of the best shows this session. Fleshed out setting, nice visuals, opening is catchy and nice central pair of characters, as well as good support cast.

Seems next episode about moving the main story arc forward.
