Started to play Muv Luv last night, after reading up in this thread I see people went Alternative then went to Extra and Unlimited. Why, people why?

Well I was focused on following the walkthrough and doing Sumika first but then I heard Meiya's way of speech. OMG, I haven't heard someone talk like that since Saber from Fate/Extra and I am so conflicted and my battle plan is up in flames. Why do you have this aura of awesome around you Meiya?

I'll try and stick with Sumika but it won't be easy.

Meiya > everyone.

Do it. You know you want to. Or.. you could save the best for last!

Best for last is usually a good decision so I think I'll do that.

I'm still trying to play Extra (well, when X-Com isn't distracting me), though I think I've accidentally gotten onto Meiya's route instead of Sumika Then again I don't mind, Meiya is awesomely win, if so amusing at the same time.

Well I just got an email saying my parcel has arrived at the post office for tomorrow morning.

Guess I'll be playing ML on the PS3 tomorrow night!

Cool. I bet they have a new opening for it too. Maybe a video of it will be posted in a few days from now.

Still learning so I'm sure the tablet PC and dictionary won't be far away!

Good luck then, Gryls. But if you put the text of the english translated ML beside you while you play it shouldn't need much head work, unless new text.

Just got home for lunch....

It begins;

Spoiler for Brado Reada Size:

What I noticed so far is that there's the new Gravity Opening before the title screen but then when you start Alternative it's the same old Asu ne houkou OP from the original 2006 release.

I did notice though that the cockpit scenes have been redone with new CGI and look pretty fantastic.

Damn! I thought I could resist but it's so tempting to buy it now... Even more so when you mentioned the new CGI and after seeing the art book. The cover page alone makes me want to scan it. Does it contain a lot of new artworks from Bou?

DAT Takemikazuchi and Meiya. If that is a theme that comes with the game then for the love of god, take my money.

Sadly that is just the screen when you highlight the game disk. My background is the one that came with MGS4... When it came out. You can see I spend a lot of time on my PS3...

Does the screens seem clipped to you? Compared to the 4:3 version? Like they did with the Win7 version. Thats the deal breaker for me.

Haven't played Extra/Unlimited yet but MLA is 16:9 like on the PC release.

And replaying the start I it's pretty much the same. Scratch what I said about updated cockpit visuals. It just looks crisper on the HDTV than the monitor.
