the animation is good, the singing is good, the fighting is good....

But why does the gay guy have to be so gay? Real life gay guys don't act like that. It is so damn annoying, and making the whole anime very silly, even though it is top-notch production.

I love how the producer sometimes use first person view in battle, it was so cool.

The captain's lock-on missile system reminds me of freedom...lol

If only Gundam seed has half of this quality of battle *sighs*.....still won't save destiny though.

So Bobby's gay big deal but he's GAR when the situation calls for it.

Heck I thought Bobby's voice over was just a computer voice in episode one.
Didn't make a connection at first he was the gay guy.

I doubt we'll have a repeat of a battle in this same manner. If you don't enjoy the music at all though, you should probably find another show. There's at least a 50/50 chance that singing, and not just simple notes but an actual song, will be some kind of deus ex machina at some point.

So far almost all the battle scenes has singing in the background. Personally, I feel the battle scenes without singing lacks any distinct catchy battle tunes the first Macross had.

I thought Gundam 00 was pretty impressive, but after watching this episode, I realize that the first 25 episodes of Gundam 00 can't even compare to this one episode. This episode was just pure awesome.

Yea, i've got a couple of gay friends, and they come in two types (just like different genders). They come in 1s and 0s, 1s are usually more masculine (giver), and 0s are the feminine counterpart (taker)

and yea Bobby is freaking GAR. He's my favourite secondary character now (just too bad ass).

Bye bye. The power of song and music has and always been a part of Macross. I guess this is your first Macross series. Watching a Macross series and saying that the music is a turn off is like wanting curry without the spices.
