He means to set your browser to read japanese characters. Then look at the picture that the kanji make. It's really cool. Now I know how the Japanese make smilies!

Edit: It seems that while I can view it, my browser can't entirely handle JIS. It seems to send ? instead of kanji. Please use your imagination to figure out what the ? stands for. Sorry.

The "???" at the right side is the kanji "gekimoe" (extreme moe) Due to the vast availability of our character sets, we are able to do all sorts of "smileys" Like so: ( Д ) ゚ ゚ shows an AA of a guy with his eyes popped out. Our Japanese OS also handles personal dictionaries to convert hiragana characters into kanji. So we can add these type of AAs in place of the kanji conversion into the dictionary so that once we type something like "moe-" in hiragana, we can pull down our menus and select this instead as well as the original kanji, instead of typing each AA everytime we have to use it. |

I've had it.
kj1980 writes:
they are not. play the game. How about this ... if you nothing to say but a damn witty retort, don't say anything at all. I am sick and tired of reading every post you make, dripping with your superior knowledge of Japanese and how you are above everyone else and making fun of everything the English language offers and everyone who doesn't know Japanese. I've browsed through all your posts, and you argue such stupid off-topic things like how English l33tspeak sucks because it's not as good as JAPANESE character encoding (on this thread), or how the JAPANESE get 20mbit connections for cheap, or how you tell people to "go to your local bookstore" and buy Chobits manga for 500 yen or "play the game" to find out what happens. You flame everyone who is not Japanese because they're not as fortunate as you are. Live with it ... you don't need to grind it any more in our brains. Here are some examples, going through just 2 out of 11 pages of your posts. Guess what? I'd rather prefer my cleaner air in Canada and not have to wear a mask on smoggy days. I'd also prefer my city's lower rate of crime. Your material goods you cherish can be imported ... but clean air outside is something your yen can't buy. I am proud to live where I am. Now what does this have to do with this topic? Because you intruded on the illegal VCD thread and basically showed off your nationality too. See how stupid you sound? How about the funniest thread where you told everyone your adventures of Comiket 65 ... explaining what 300 000 otaku are like when you are one of them, trying to justify that you're different from the rest. Your arrogance amazes me, with the pure-Japanese posts (read Kimi Ga 13) in an English-speaking forum being your lowest point. Wait, that's not as good as your previous thread which stated "Since I am Japanese and I will be watching it first on TV, I will make this thread". You are on my message ignore list from now on. So much for your "goal" of making non-Japanese fans out of anime ... all you do is alienate them. Good day. -- As for YamiBou, I can't wait for episode 13. This show has been a pleasant surprise from the beginning, even though there are some parts which made me want to pull my hair off due to their irrelevance. Oh well <_< Oh, big witches' hats off to the groups who did this series too. Last edited by GipFace; 2003-12-31 at 00:35. |

So, I take your consideration deeply. Japanese note: your signature underneath your SN reads: 勉強の日本語 Our language is in SOV form. That means, first comes subject, then the noun, and lastly the verb. You should correct it to be: 日本語の勉強 |

I'd like to echo what Akiace has just said. These posts were way off topic. If a personal argument breaks out I'm not going to close the thread because it is more effective to ban the perpetrators. 'Nuff said.
