Assassin's Creed III
First official images :-
Releasing October '12 Other than the setting of this new title being revolved around the American Revolution, nothing else is known. Everything will have to wait until Ubisoft's annoucement after this weekend. From the amour and most of the weapons, I judge this new ancestor to be a native American in origin. |

Very interesting. I wonder what the story will be and who you'll be after.
I'm about 60-ish% synchronized with AC: Brotherhood. Hopefully I'll finish the story before the NCAA tournament begins, because once that hits, it's all basketball for three weeks. Then it's onto Revelations.

Must... Resist...
I use to be a Britain soldier like you, but then I took a tomahawk to the head. *shot* Looking forward to this. I'm excited about the new features and character assassinations. +1 I'm hoping October 20th is long enough for Ubisoft to do great on the game. I have faith in them though. Thank god. The Nazi card has gotten really old. Since I'm only interested in the main story that's great. Totally okay with that. |

If it takes place during the American Revolution in 18th century NYC in particular, then it is likely he will be at LEAST half Iroquois. The Iroquois tribe held that land and the six tribes became politically divided for the first time -- four tribes supported the British troops while the other two supported the Colonials. So if this descendant is indeed Native American, which he likely will be, then it's a safe bet to guess Iroquois.

Don't know how many of you noticed, but his tomahawk is in shape of the Assassin's crest.
Guess the hints dropped in Revelation's hit the mark. I was admittedly disappointed to learn it wasn't China or Japan, but then after reading up a little of the time period, I have more hope for the setting. The number of key historic figures at the time plus the alluded conspiracy involving the Freemasons would make a damn compelling story. Now the thing they'll have to prove is if the gameplay can make the same leap it did from AC1 to AC2. |

If we can get back the Epicness from the first three games, then I'm sold on this already
Although for an October release... sounds like part of the reason why Revelations wasn't as good as the others is because Ubisoft was already putting a lot of effort into this one.
