Ffdshow alpha latest

Maybe you could update the recommended ffdshow alpha in your media configuration guide to
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...rs/ffdshow.cfm

Some ppl have been getting playing problems with the latest Xvid 1.0 builds with older ffdshows. This one works pretty well on everything I've seen.

This version has more problems that the one in the media configuration guide. As far as I know, there are no problems with that version and XviD 1.0 if you are doing everything else right.

Edit: It seems there is an XviD 1.0 bug in libavcodec (from the ffmpeg project) which is ued in mplayer and ffdshow. The version you suggested still has that bug, so I believe there is no XviD 1.0 bug-free version of ffdshow. Regardless, I myself have not seen any XviD 1.0 content that is unplayable by ffdshow 23052003.
