Sara is my 2nd favorite (Sharuru being 1st). It looks like they're spicing up the scenes (with all characters) and including my favorite scene with Sara at this point in the story. This has me soooo freaken excited!

Aw man... this week, D.C.III ep.5 is going to be my most anticipated episode of this season. Judging how they handled Himeno, I'm expecting a lot from Sara's part.

Himeno indirectly said to Kiyotaka and in front of other people that she wants to have sex with him.

That's just too funny. I don't think I've seen anything presented in that kind of way in TV anime ever. That's including harem and ecchi anime.

So is this show any good in the romance department?

Usually Im all over these types of shows but I havnt gotten around to watching it yet and never watched the previous da capo series.

Hmm, well IMO, compared to shoujo shows, the romance in the Da Capo series is average at best (while shoujo mostly being above average). It's more about the daily lives of the characters and the mysteries of the island they all live on.

D.C.II first season tried to take the story to an anime original romance theme, but I felt it failed horribly. On the other hand, D.C.II second season followed the plot from the source material very nicely, and is kinda a required watch to really understand what is happening in D.C.III.

If you're going to start watching this, I recommend to at least watch D.C.I first season and D.C.II second season. Of course, watching all is best for a full understanding, but if you're short on time, those two are the most important.

Himeno was just too lovely in that pink underwear

Hair style and colour reminds me of Nemu, but she's certainly a great improvement over Nemu

Also, two thumbs up for Kiyotaka actually having a backbone and behaving like an actual man here!

Instead of panicking at the sight of a cute girl in underwear, he stays to get a good eyeful

The sight was really too good to pass up on.

I basically agree with you here. His behaviour wasn't praiseworthy in my view -- rather than being "manly", it was very "adolescent" I guess. (His reaction when he got out wasn't "that was pretty rude; I should apologize", but rather "hey, I got a good view; I'd better get out of here before she shows her anger".) But, at the same time, I did think it made sense how he was conflicted between "wait, she's my childhood friend; this shouldn't be such a big deal", and "how the heck did she become so attractive all of a sudden", and I have to admit that I got a chuckle the word sandwich that came out he stumbled. So, despite it all, it did say something about their relationship, even as it served as simple fanservice for us in the audience (even if it is one of the oldest childhood friend/sibling clichés in the book, and a recurring "feature" of all the Da Capo games/anime

).

I suppose the original poster may consider this preferable to the sort of protagonist who seems to live in fear of the female body... but there's probably still a slightly better approach overall. Not that I necessarily expect protagonists to follow it, for many reasons...

The OP single includes a cover of the very first Da Capo OP by this season's main cast. I like it. Even after all these years, "Sakura Saku Mirai Koi Yume" is still a really pleasant song to listen to.
