It's always been bugging me that no one has really given a proper translation of the "Concession Rights" thing at the end of Chapter 2 of Volume 3, so I thought I'd post the raw text as well as my interpretation of it. The biggest clarification would be the Astral Gate thing and 80% and Free of charge.

As a side note, 利権証 = Benefit / Privilege / Proof, so I think "Concession Rights" fits well enough.

I have a question, just how was Canaria's name written in the Japanese version? I mean, the Japanese for Canary (金糸雀) already had Gold in the beginning (金).

Don't tell me it's Konjiki no Kanaria (Darkness!)...

金糸雀 is how Canaria's name is written in Japanese, since that literally means Canary. As for why her name is Canaria, that is simply the species name, apparently (Serinus canaria).

I think that's because 金糸雀 literally means Gold String Sparrow, at least, that's what the various online dictionaries say. Likely they're kanji the japanese have used to literally describe the Canary. In the novel, though, 金糸雀 has the furigana "カナリア" (Canaria).
