See the white stuff near the top left and bottom right? Also for the light source.. try to have a smaller source.. Yours look like its the whole top is lighted ..

As I cant get my Sakura BG to work .. Have a different submission entry

Screw borders icy. The first one doesn't really need such a border imo
Second one. The transition from black/white to color feels a bit strange, but it has a nice feel to it.

It's like a flip book, where when you flip all the pictures you get a moving image. You just go through the book and erase some parts of pictures, and you change the overall animation. You don't really add more pages or subtract more pages, but you change what's on the pages.

I see. It's good to know it wasn't something so complicated to begin with.

I agree that there has been a massive influx of animated sigs and all of them have been pretty well done. I wonder if mine would look better if I could get the waves to move? Decisions decisions...

Well I really wanted to use this Ino pic for my sig, but I guess it's just not going to work. Kayos cropped the original for me so it wasn't jagged and I tried using it but to keep it at the normal size i had to crop most of the sig off to get it at the size limit, see for yourself basically all I've got is a head shot which just won't do as this is supposed to be about the clothing. And when I make the image smaller It turns all pixelly and jagged There I have it exactly at the size limit and it doesn't even have a border or text. To crop it down small enough for more file size there wouldn't be any room for text. Guess I'll have to start over with a new render and hurry as I've wasted a week.

No borders? Not really true, but a border can define the image. The first one don't do bad with a border, the 2nd one looks well as it is at the moment.

Imo, first one doesn't need a border. The second one is fine as it is, seeing there is a lot of white. It does need a border to separate it from the forum background. But the first one. I can only imagine the top right not looking to good without a border on the first one. I'm not saying to never use a border. Though perhaps i might of come over like that. But try the first one without a border to and see how it turns out. Border or not also depends on forum background color imo.

What i try to say is border or not is flexible. Sometimes it's better not to use one. And sometimes it does enhance your work in a good way.
