So I started this series a couple of days ago, and now I'm about 50 chapters in. Really awesome so far! Currently my favorite characters are Xin (naturally), and Ten/Diao (honestly, I have trouble remembering a bunch of the character's Chinese OR Japanese reading of their names, lol ). Man, the war to reclaim Zheng (or Sei's) throne was incredible. it really makes me look forward to the other upcoming conquest arcs, as well. But that also makes it all the more unfortunate that the translations are so far behind the current chapters. Well, at least that'll give me more time to appreciate the series in the meantime!

Okay, consider me caught up with all the released translations so far! And now to play the waiting game for the upcoming releases.....
Anyways, this series is awesome. One thing I really like is how the author is definitely channeling Hokuto no Ken with some of the character designs (like how a majority of the generals/commanders are big, scary armored giants). And I especially love seeing how Xin is growing as a leader (I certainly found myself cheering when he took his first enemy general's head during the war against the Zhao ). Really can't wait to see how the rest of his war achievements will be handled..... Also, something really hilarious occurred to me: Considering the point in history this series takes place, I wonder if the last arc is going to be a "Qin Emperor's quest for immortality" arc? |

i just read tvtrope, they say that Li Mu now is the Prime Minister of Zhao.... are the author for real!? it should be Guo Kai!
lol! then whos next ? Lin Xiangru? Jing Ke? Li Mu is indeed one of the 4 great general of Warring state period (along with Bai Qi, Lian Po, Wang Jian...) but is not this an overkill??

Just finished reading the whole translated chapter, one thing that make me wonder is how can Sei's mother is still alive. She is not extracted together with Sei when Sei escape from Zhao. And then when Sei is betrayed at the beginning and he escape from the palace, why doesn't the rebel kill her too? Sei's half brother should hate her as well right considering she is just a dancer girl?

Well, it was pretty much established that Sei's mother hated him, too (and even tried to kill him, as we saw in a flashback). So I guess the brother left her alone due to this being a case of "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" or something like that. And it's not like she really did anything since she took residence in the harems, anyway (it wasn't until the recently translated chapters that she decided to make her move). |

Does anyone know where I can get a list of the Japanese character names side by side with their true chinese names so I can look up some of these true historical people?
Would be greatly appreciated!
