Yeah, Xin did very well against Houken, considering BOTH combatants were at a disadvantage. But now I look forward to Xin's next rematch against him, when he's at full strength!
And now, to sit back and watch the mountain army wreck some s***. |

I'd say Houken is at more of a disadvantage, but Shin is definitely not fighting at full capacity. Other than enraged Ouki, Houken is the strongest character in the manga so far (though I wonder how Moubu would fare against him). Give Shin another level-up of power and then he's going to be reaching the best of the best in strength level, judging by how well he did here.

I wonder how famous those generals he mentioned are famous in the eastern part of China and whether they'll take part in future arcs. Someone know their Chinese names?

Kanshu and Denkaku...?
Kan can also be read as Han or Huan.... but this Den Kaku.... could only meant the descendant of Tian clan of Qi ! could it be Tian Dan's son ? man... he is famed general of Qi who introduced Fire Ox tactics and stopped Yue Yi's invasion that costed them 70 odd cities of Qi. btw this King of Qi's name is Jian.... her mother is Jun Wanghou; daughter of Taishi Jiao is famous, often compared to Zhuo Wenjun (Sima Xiangru's wife)... seems the mother already passed on. i am not surprised by his attitude or confidence.

Eh, IMO Xin deserved more than a 3000-man commander promotion. At least he should have gotten 4000 instead after everything he went through. Oh well, at least he's still closer to becoming a general, either way.
And now time for Kyoukai to get some action after a while of inactivity! |
