Started reading this half a year ago or so, and it's absolutely incredible. Characters, story, art, its world, EVERYTHING.

Definitely one of the best seinens ever.

I just hope they dont follow too closely to what happened in history, i dont want a history lesson i want an epic story!

Hara already took a number of liberties with the story as it is, so I doubt we'd have to worry about that. I mean, if memory serves me right, the actual Kyoukai was originally a man!

^ Looks like a simple plot device to get Ten back. His "flashes of genius" suddenly disappeared? (ie. Attacking Houken from multiple different angles, sneak attacking during that battle with Ouki, etc.)

the detail will be upto the author but the manga will use the official history as guideline. No question Xin will lose his most important and famous battle against Xiang Yan of Chu. The real question is will Xin lose his head for losing the battle.

I believe in what I read of the history that after he loses that battle in Chu, he's still a general and assists in the conquest of Qi.

Not enough strategic battle

I want one on the level of ravages of time

. Well, considering the timeline, I guess the strategy simplicity is understandable, but still, I wish for epic strategy battle once in a while >_<

Heads up, guys..... it looks like we won't be seeing any newly translated Kingdom chapters for about a week. Looks like the fellow doing most of the scan work is getting himself organized now, so the next batch of chapters should arrive around the 27th.

you will get your wish soon.

in about 15 chapter you will have a 100chapter arc with the most epic battles.

It's surprising they weren't able to get any victories though, I would have thought Shin could pull out some victories purely on brute strength. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see Ten pick up the slack.

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	Spoiler for 243-245: Heh, as soon as they mentioned that they needed a strategist, Ten instantly jumped to my mind. Still, Xin's unit is gonna have to work their butts to the bone in order to protect her, because she isn't exactly a ninja like Kyoukai, lol. And as far as Xin's earlier clever tactics goes..... well, that was probably because he was fighting in bigger wars against much stronger enemies, and I guess his mind isn't as well-sharpened during these small skirmishes against weaker enemy armies (not that he had the sharpest mind to BEGIN with, but still ).

If something unexpected happens, there might be some way to communicate a change in tactics.

She's not doing a bad job and managed to strike the enemy HQ, but she left herself exposed as well. So how will she get away from the enemy? I doubt they'll just retreat when they see their HQ taken down. Oh, and Shin acts even more the idiot than usual.
