Actually, that's my point (since the order is Natsuhi, Hideyoshi, Kyrie). Why is it in this order? Or if this was just random after all. Or is it because they're on that side of the table...?

It was most likely random. The four siblings were shown that way because we know that their ranking goes from oldest to youngest. As far as Natsuhi, Kyrie and Hideyoshi go we don't know the age difference between them exactly, although Natsuhi is probably closer to Eva's age (Eva once mentioned that Natsuhi was only 3 years younger than she was)

The arrangement is based on hierarchy. After Kinzo the order goes from Krauss to Rosa by age. The next rank is the children from Jessica to Maria by the ranking of their parents. The last rank are the husbands/wives of the adults from Natsuhi to Kyrie, also based on the ranking of theit respective significant others.

If you wonder why the husband/wives of the adults are last, it's because the Ushiromiya family places greater weight on blood relations. Since the kids have Ushiromiya blood they are on a higher ranking than their moms/dads who are not of the Ushiromiya line.

Edit - Personally I think this was an oversight because IIRC the VN explicitly describes the ranking and that Natsuhi is first and Kyrie last among the none-blood relatives.

Mm, I know about that. What I meant to say was that since the order by hierarchy is Natsuhi, Hideyoshi, and Kyrie, why is Kyrie shown first followed by Natsuhi and Hideyoshi? Or is it just where they sit, since Krauss and Rudolf are also shown on the left and Eva on the right? Or are Kyrie and Hideyoshi just flanking Natsuhi?

Well it's not as if the VN really visualized the arrangement of the family from a dstinct perspective anyway, so maybe this is how DEEN (or Ryukishi) envisioned on how they'd be arranged. Not that the actual physical arrangement is that important since we do already know who outranks who.

was it officially announced that Yukari Tamura will be Bern's seiyuu? (many say it was announced, and on MAL they posted Yukari as her seiyuu)

Yukari was a narrator for the released navigation cds, so I'm sure she has some higher purpose. I don't see why she wouldn't be Bernkastel's voice though.

i tagged this series several months ago bc its similar to higurashi and im just loving the show. the music is quite good and i really like how the mystery behind the witch is proressing. marie can get really creepy when she goes crazy about beatrice . i really like how the character portray their intentions ie calm exterior to hide that insatiable greed for gold. the season finale should turn out to be rather good at this rate.
