i wonder how they will accomplish that
Don't tell me they are going to make original movie where Tatsuya as the martyr hero.

when someone want to make a certain character a legend
this require:
a huge massive plot
draw attraction
the hero have to do something very big " usually martyr hero is the fastest way, unless they are really planning to Kill Tatsuya.

anyway i think they are too overexciting despite the LN popularity Mahouka still hardly popular in anime.

Oh, they’ll make a movie sequel? Yeah, sure, why not? I’ll gladly watch it.

I guess, unlike many people, I don’t hate Mahouka. I’m just an anime-only watcher and to me Mahouka has always been this oddly entertaining anime where I can just sitback leisurely and watch Tatsuya (who is a trained and experienced war veteran) impressing, schooling, owning, and humiliating highshcool kids (and terrorists too) which is clearly below him. He’s kinda like the JSDF who is schooling the medieval civilization in Gate when you think about it. One thing I enjoy from Tatsuya’s OP-ness in Mahouka is that he’d do the necessary action without so much fuss, angst and faux-tension (as long as his sister is safe) unlike, for example, what SAO did with Kirito.

And I like how some notable female characters already have their own boyfriends/lovers/love-interests and Tatsuya didn’t monopolize their attention even though the show itself still leans towards harem.

The movie could be anime original about dahan and how it led to the birth of tatsuya. That would be nice too.

Sorched Halloween is already one major event Tatsuya is responsible for, but few knows he was responsible. If he's going to become a legend, he will have to resolve a even bigger event and have his name to it.

First thing that comes to mind is this being an adaption of Reminiscence. I'm don't think that fulfills the legend requirement though since not many people are aware of Tatsuya's actions during that part of the story.

It was the debut of Mahesvara. They don't have to know his identity for him to be a legend.
