So, I don't tend to post much in this section, since I do very little fan art in general. But if anyone is interested, the link above is my web comic, and down below a sample of a page to come.

Bit of a warning, it's not at all a strip, more of a graphic novel in progress. Updated once a week, every Saturday.

Also, I had a published comic in Otazine, the comic compilation that Otakon published for this year's convention. Hopefully that will continue as well.

ooh, I havent read any, but from the example page, it looks really nicely drawn. Very clean.

hmm, the general reminds me of "eyebrows" (the comander) from FLCL, if anyone's seen it. The big eyebrows and all, although they're like blonde instead of brown.

I've decided to switch to standard comic page proportions for the rest of the webcomic. So far, the first two pages I've tried on this page size have been much easier to lay out.

I added another 41 frames to it that I found while going through my old animation paper. Again, it was all drawn around the same time shortly after I graduated art school.

I uploaded it over the old file.

I noticed theres a new comic up and I'm curious to know if the "Never knows best" on the cigarette is a subtle tribute to FLCL. It's the only other place I've ever seen that phrase written on a cigarette. ^^;

In a roundabout way, yes. The character Evil is based on a friend of mine (as well as several other characters), so one night we're all sitting at Denny's, when he asks for a pen. Now, we all love FLCL, we'd seen in a while beforehand, but this night he suddenly had the urge to write 'Never Knows Best' on his cigarette. He does so, and begins smoking. He makes a face, and eyes the cig for a moment before saying, "You know...this can't be healthy." We all turn and just stare at him for like a minute before breaking out laughing. He meant he could taste the ink when smoking the cigarette, but it was just absurdly funny for him to make a comment like that about a cigarette.

Page 30, recently finished. I'm trying to get less detailed with my pages so I can get them finished in less time. I need all the time I can get in the next couple weeks to get ready for AnimeReactor in Chicago. I need to put together a table banner, shoot some of my old art school animation to show off at the con, and print out all of the comic pages I've finished since my old printer started clunking out on me.

Also, I've started animating again. I've added a couple seconds to the previous animation, but I won't be uploading anything until I have a significant amount to show for it.

Still, I don't really plan to go any simpler than this, and I'm not going to stop doing backgrounds entirely. I just want to keep the comic from taking over my life and keep me from other projects.
