Other than the wikis, you're out of luck unless you can read Chinese instead.

Yeah though with little to talk about and a good month or so to the next volume there's really not a whole lot to discuss, but there was some pretty good mileage out of the last LN release. |

depends on the translators speed and time to translate.
Before average update is 3-6 months but since the light novel translation boom which teh_ping bro starts with. Its increase in speed but still it depends on the translator.

Hm, yeah.
Lets just hope that there's actually some good progress in this volume. I'd hate to find out if it only makes the story longer/deeper or it's a bunch of side stories again. He should be getting tired of prolonging it himself anyway. I would for sure, unless I was getting rich off it *coughTiteKubocough*. |

the author taking a break? but the only story that he need to write from scratch is AW. SAO will only be converted from web novel and edited. Its almost ready for publication with few alteration from the web version.

Well like is often the case SAO is not only more profitable but far less complicated in terms of plot and thus probably far easier to write so if given the choice between which to continue if he's getting bogged down sadly the choice is obvious. Just the reality of how Japan seems to work and how they always seem to gravitate more towards the safer, more treaded, and more simplistic material. Hopefully since this goes back to August though it means we're still on pace for a December release of the next volume because this would be a terrible place to stop.

But editing a story is no easy task; there's a lot more to it than just making a "few alterations". Not to mention that he's also writing Progressive, which contains new bits of story.
Why do you think AW is much more complicated in terms of plot than SAO? Have you read both light novels, or do you even know what the current plot is about in both stories? |

AW for me isn't episodic or arc by arc with stand alone story for per arc. AW expand in for more development and more grander story with it but will be restricted to its initial settings unlike SAO which is indeed episodic and can introduce new setting to it BUT that is not this thread is for comparing the two story.
But still from past records of the authors release. AW and SAO are release alternating each other's release (bad english) This months release is for SAO and next release should be for AW right? but is it scheduled for december?
