As Alhazard said, nothing is official, just speculation. As for the Nova commander, it's not surprising that she looks similar. In chapter 126, Gengo did say she was Maria's successor.

I have no idea what is going on currently...except that everyone is dying and the dummy Nova happens to NOT be a dummy...and that Dr. Aoi is an uncaring jerk who doesn't care about the dozens of Pandora getting their head bitten off by monster Nova.

I wouldn't say Gengo is being indifferent, more like he's just appearing detached so he doesn't become consumed by despair. Think about how many Pandoras he's seen die, including Kazuha, and there was nothing he could've done to save them. You don't think all that grief would've affected him in the long run? Think of it as a coping mechanism. With all the tragedy he's seen, he'd need to find a way to cope, the alternative was clearly not an option.

Hmmm, I was mainly wondering how the dummy nova some how summoned a real one (or became a real one)...

But Aoi has always been a jerk like that. The least he could do is try rescue some pandoras, as there aren't enough to save the world from completely going kaput (hence the E-pandoras and the Valkyeries).

And it begins as Rana looks upon Arnett's prone form, aghast that another comrade has been felled by the sinister metahuman in their midst. Enraged, she launches a series of punches towards the Nova Commander, who blocks them with her forecefield. "I'm gonna break that stupid forcefield," she seems to declare, undaunted by the futility of her efforts, as she recalled what became of Roxanne, "and then then I'm gonna break YOU!" Though her opponent has other ideas, and drops her the same way she did Arnett.

Kazuya and Satellizer embrace, as they feared their efforts were all in vain. As they did, the Commander came up behind them, and prepared to deliver the final blow. Suddenly, a large beam of light crashes down nearby, which immediately gets her attention. Everyone turns, and sees the last of Chiffon's sisters nearby. (I can see her quoting Underdog in this moment: There's no need to fear, Windy-chan is here! Or something to that effect) She then strikes a dramatic pose with her Volt Weapon, an powerful-looking warhammer. It next shows the Valkyries fleeing the battlefield, then official introductions of the sisters, and ends with Gengo grieving over Chiffon, and probably dreading what's about to happen.

The next chapter switches back to the last sister, and Kazuya is shocked as he recognizes her from the photo in his grandfather's photo album. Said sister raises her warhammer, and releases a powerful energy. Surprisingly, it wasn't attack, but a powerful healing spell that mended Rana and Arnett's more grievous injuries, as well as restored Charles' arms(!!) Morevoer, it did the impossible, it brought the previous deceased Roxanne Elipton back to life(!!!!) Charles immediately embraces her, while her savior seems to say "Think nothing of it." Suddenly, the commander comes up behind her and blasts her full in the face. Everyone is shocked by the surprise attack, even more so that it had virtually no effect on the pinkette.

It switches to Gengo, who probably comments on how useless it is for Novas to oppose the True Pandoras, as the pinkette demonstrates by whacking off a good part of the commander's torso with one shot.

The next chapter begins with everyone in mute shock at how easily their previously indomitable enemy had been defeated. She's joined by her other sisters, which indicates they'd taken care of the rest of the Novas. Cassandra then embraces Kazuya tightly, which incenses Satellizer and Rana to no end. It ends with Gengo and Su Na arriving on the battlefield, as the chapter comes to an end.

Spoiler for Freezing ZERO Chapter 16:

Basically, it's a remake of the filler chapter, Those Who Make The Rules, though with additional scenes. It has Elizabeth and Attia a the pool, the latter thanking her classmate for bailing her out at the Carnival. She then looked to her hand, which had been severed by Arnett, and knew if Elizabeth hadn't come, she could've lost a lot more.

And this time, Arnett doesn't come quietly with the second years, she actually tries to attack him. However, the second-year merely blocked her Scythe Machina with her bare hard, and then the pummeling began. Though Elizabeth still saves her, along with her holopic of Papa, and then they become friends afterwards.

And then it goes straight to their epic battle against Miyabi in the Summer Carnival. You can tell where it'll go from here. Anyway, until next time...

Well, the clash had to end somehow. It was already prolonged enough. Plus, I figured Roxanne wasn't really going to kick the bucket yet. She's called the immortal granny for a reason. Though, this does cheapen her "death" scene.

Gengo looked quite aggrieved towards the end of the chapter, and it had a panel with Chiffon in it. Made me wonder if he feared the others would've met Chiffon's fate, or something along those lines. Thankfully, it didn't come to that. Or did it? I'm with Magin, that was way too easy. I'm just waiting for the Commander to get back up in the next panel, taking out Maria's successor with a single blow? I don't buy it. No one else should either.

I don't think he had any particular attachment to Chiffon though. When he found out she was in Alaska, he looked really shocked and scared as "They brought her here?!" were his thoughts on that matter. Maybe as you said, this isn't over, and the commander is going to revive more powerful than ever. Meanwhile, Gengo is just freaking out over how fast the Nova are evolving. He mentioned those humanoid types weren't supposed to come until much later. Chiffon probably unintentional provoked this as she was the first known person to cause the phenomenon that started this Nova Clash.

bravo just bravo beast deus es machina bullcrap i've seen in years makes absolutely no sense what so ever i tip my hat to the author because for the first time in my manga and anime watching career where it actually made me go WTF for a DEM moment, there are several times where these moments don't make sense but this THIS you can't just bring in a character who can for no sane reason revive dead characters especially characters as dead as roxanne was you just can't

And it seems they'd been in stasis until Su-Na awakened them. And remember that scene in Gengo's flashback, with Cassandra coughing up blood? It seems a human body couldn't handle such powerful stigmata, so he diluted them in order for humanity to survive. So there is a price for such power, don't be surprised if they're ordered back to the villa and return to stasis, lest their own power burn out their bodies.

Yes, I agree there was build up to this. Plus, we don't know if the commander is truly dead yet. I can understand his point as they came off as major Deus ex Machinas, because once they arrived, the battle shifted in their favor tremendously. If they were shown to struggle even a little bit, there wouldn't be much complaint from readers. I'm not going to count Roxanne yet because I believe there is explanation for that, just have to wait for it. I'm wondering why the sisters don't have those slit eyes like Chiffon did. Also, is Cassandra the one on Volume 20?

I certainly hope not. And somehow, I doubt it. It would suck if this truly was the end. There's still to much story to tell.

So can I, that was way too OP, at least Chiffon struggled in her last battle, that particle beam to the crotch had to hurt.

My guess is the commander is going to regenerate while they're distracted, and then retreat back to the Nova dimension.

Maybe they didn't have the slit eyes because they weren't serious (Windy definitely wasn't). And yes, that is Cassandra as the covergirl of volume 20, and what a covergirl she is. ^^;;

I would be disappointed if this was the end.

Me too, though it looks like Gengo's finally gonna spill the beans about the Legendary Pandoras, Kazuya, and maybe where the Valkyries truly stand in his greater scheme, because Ouka is zeroing in on him as we speak.
