TV anime Qualidea Code announced.

Plot Summary:

The story takes place at the world, in which people continue their war against the "unknown" - the enemy of humanity. They are children, who have been evacuated to the cold sleep facility during the invasion by the "unknown" several decades ago. When they wake up from their slumber, they learn that their own bodies develop some supernatural forces. In order to protect the country from the "unknown" emerging from the Tokyo bay gate, the boys and girls wage battles in the defense cities of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba.

Cross media project i think, and this time the anime writers will also be Sagara Sou, Tachibana Koushi and Watari Wataru.

No, it is the start of the war. The title of the 2nd volume of project is "Itsuka Sekai wo Sukuu Tame ni - Qualidea Code"

Kuzu to Kinka no Qualidea (Qualidea of Scum and a Gold Coin) is the prologue of the project. If you read Kuzu, there will be certain interesting foreshadows on the first page of each chapter about Unknown invading.

Likely anime is covering volume 2 and 3 since I see characters present in v2. Haven't read v3 yet.

2 and 3 I think as in my edited post. It's likely promotional in nature, since the project will only have 4 volumes based on my understanding. It might seem funny that Kuzu will be skipped, but Kuzu has no plot relationship with the other titles except the foreshadows and the ending of the book.

My only pressing question is whether the Chigusa siblings are related to Yu (and Haruma, perhaps) at all from Kuzu, what with their family names being the same.

Spoiler for speculation based on prologue:

They did it in Kuzu, just before the invasion They might have adopted Chigusa as their family name for certain reason. I'm more curious as to how the cross road junction fits into everything.

Then again, it did say original animation, so the anime might be standalone in some ways as part of the cross-media project. But it's no doubt centered on characters in v2 and v3.

Henneko author is capable of writing heart warming stories with fluff. I personally prefer him to Tachibana of DAL.

But anyway, Sagara wrote Yuu's POV in Kuzu (while Watari wrote Haruma's POV). And she's funny as hell

Considering this done by DAL author and To-Aru author
i expect the twist by To-Aru and Oreigaru authors
DAL author much better to for base cute girls characters

This may seem too vague besides the premise and with multiple LN writers in charge of the anime, I imagine it would be like K all over again except made for a different target audience from the looks of it.

I noticed there are two characters leading the fight for each area, with the Chigusa siblings both in Chiba.

Somehow I bet Watari is writing the Chiba section
