Reboot is nice but i hope this is not reboot instead the continuation.
hopefully this anime also include crossover with Tsubasa and xxxholic
the best present clamp could give for 20th anniversary

Reboot is a bit unnecessary cause the anime (series + movies) is already perfect as is imo, fillers and all. So, I too hope it's a continuation, or maybe some SoL of the cast after all the events of the anime if the project turns out to be OVAs with only few episodes.

A reboot would be a bit odd considering how "complete" the series was. Everything was wrapped up pretty nicely with the series and the 2nd movie. Would have to wonder if it's a continuation or just supplementary material.

It's official, people are running out of fresh ideas and have decided to reboot old stuff trying to appeal to people's nostalgia. Even otaku grow up!

Not that I necessarily mind (I wouldn't have gotten Osomatsu-san or Gatchaman Crowds otherwise), but in a way it really weirds me out. That said, can someone please reboot Rurouni Kenshin now, and skip right to the Enishi arc?

I find it astonishing with the current dearth of original ideas and the immense popularity of the live-action, no one has pushed the button on a RK reboot. It seems like such a no-brainer.

Yeah, somehow this isn't that surprising.

Everything gets rebooted in some way these days. Not hugely necessary here since it was so well done and complete. But hey...if they did a good job with it then I probably wouldn't mind. Though a continuation wouldn't be bad either.

Just...be nice if it was something good. Not something horrible, just thrown out there purely to cash in on nostalgia with no effort put in (like Sailor Moon).

Whoa. No. Leave the series alone. My biggest concern about this, like FlareKnight, is that we're going to get an utter crap reboot like SM Crystal, even though the series is done.

How many reboots/continuations of "completed" series have we been getting lately? Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Digimon, and now this?

I always thought the original series was bloated and with a terrible ending. A "new project" is kind of puzzling.

To be honest, I think it'd be cool for the series to take a shot at something new, even if it ends up being a reboot. I personally also think the series as a whole was encapsulated beautifully as it currently is, but from my viewpoint, the worst case scenario is we have a bad reboot that we can blissfully ignore.

On the flip side, it's potentially something new that could always be actually good too. I haven't heard from this series in a long while but I still love it to death. Would love to see something potentially bring it back to some modern glory.

Are we completely sure this "new project" will be something animation-related? I don't want to get excited for nothing.

but yeah, add me to the group of people not surprised. In fact I was totally seeing this coming after digimon adventure, dragon ball, sailor moon etc were all getting revived (also yes please, rurouni kenshin needs to happen too)

Whatever it is (as long as it's something animated, that's it) I'll gladly take it!

I would love to see the gang in HS or MS as they were at the end of the manga. But then again people just watched Tsubasa in order to get that treatment. At least for Syaoron and Sakura.

After watching SMC, SoG ans, DBS... Are you sure guys you want a new series?

I would rather have the Digimon treatment as movies, a series would be overkill.

Yeah, not really excited, and a bit fearful actually. The original 70-episode and 2 movies anime is already pretty close to perfect. They dropped a few things from the manga, but the story still works fine without them.

Maybe a HD OVA of some moments, as a nostalgia thing, but hopefully not a disaster like the Sailor Moon Crystal anime (which is closer to the original manga, but then the original manga is pretty weird too).

And yeah, I really wish they would do a good adaptation of the last third of the Rurouni Kenshin manga, preferably as a one or two season anime, not sure an OVA or movie could manage it properly.

Just as long as whatever this new CCS is (probably a pachinko or new manga re-issue or something) does not have anything to do with Tsubasa, ugh, that was a horrible convoluted mess by the end.

The thing about Cardcaptor Sakura is, it already has beautiful animation even for today's standard. Just check out the Blu-ray version of the episodes. I definitely prefer CS's old-school cel-animation look compared to something made in digital animation like Nanoha.

I don't mean to question your opinion, but have you seen Movie 2 of CS? That's the actual ending of the anime.

Wrong comparison, Osomatsu-sna is totally different to ithe original series Osomatsu-kun.

Unless you want SCC going bizarro/twilight zone.

Tbf, most of these continuations and reboots have been due to the combination of Toei and anniversaries. Toei can't resist an anniversary, it's their kryptonite. And the first Digimon Tri film was really good, too, so there is that.
