Spoiler for Kingohger Episode 42:

Dugded has a rather hilarious fighting style, rather fitting due to his childish personality. Despite the ending, something tells me that this wouldn't be the last time we'll see the tyrant.

Despite learning the truth about Racules, next episode we'll see Rita prosecuting the former king for his past actions. We'll learn more about Gira's backstory as well.

And lastly, Racules and Suzume is the OTP of the series!

Kingohger's endgame arc begins and we're off to a good start:

The team's trump card against Dugded is to use their King's Proof to power up God Kingohger. The problem is that they use up Jeramie's King's Proof to take down Glodi at the previous episode.

To make matters worse, Dugded has decided to personally assault the good guys without giving them time to create a replacement for Jeramie's King's Proof.

Realising that they're outmatched, the team has Racules leading their aides as well as all civilians to evacuate the planet. Not wanting to let their Kings sacrifice themselves, the aides managed to convince Racules to let them stay and support the team.

However, it's soon revealed that Kamejim, the last of the Five Jesters has been impersonating himself as one of the civilians!!! As Racules prepares to confront Kamejim, they're surprised by the arrival of none other than Desnarak VIII, whom has arrived from the Land of the Dead to confront his traitorous former surbodinate!!!

Also, those mad men did it!!! They not only let all of the deceased named characters (with the exception of Causus), but also the movie characters to participate in the final battle!!!

Spoiler for Episode 50:

If any of you familiar with Gurren Lagann vs. Anti-Spiral, here it is.
Minato Takano definitely draws inspiration from it as well as Avengers Endgame to conclude story of the kings.
Gira is no Simon but its nice to see they ended it with "There are more important things to do", similar to Gurren Lagann second timeskip.

They will release Director Cut for 48-49-50 so you can watch it in one go since the original script intended it as one big episode (picture of Himeno with script I posted before).

For verdict:

Spoiler for Review:

+ Bold decision to not make it Red-centric, Red is just another character on the board.
+ Bold decision to went with legend-style of story focused on how kings deal with threat.
+ Himeno, Kaguragi, Suzume and Racles are awesome addition to sentai roster as a whole.

- Not for one episode per week, better binge watch it.
- Setting is relatively big (five nations), Shugoddam took all the explanation unfortunately.
- Lack of MOTW can also lead to lack of exposition and individual appeal, it difficult for others to top Racles x Suzume.
- Jeramie probably the most underutilized White, would be nice if they can afford two or three Bugnarok to accompany him.
- Kamejim kind of inconsistent when it comes to attitude, consequences of having stronger big bad and power of death as sixth ranger behind the manipulator.

I guess my Top 3 are still Jetman, Abarenger and Go-Busters, still, well done King-ohger.
Managed to be so different yet exciting after Inoue happy trigger that is Donbrothers is a feat on its own.

While I like the final battle, I couldn't help but notice the fps drop during the face to face between God King-Ohger and Dagded as well as some part of the fight.

Speaking of Dagded, I love how unceremonius his death is with the team casually walking away as his body crumbles into dust.

Overall, this is my favorite Sentai series of the Reiwa era.

Well time to check the King Ohger OST. Did the movie have an OST as well?

As everyone has said, the first half of the final episode is endgame, followed by Gurren Lagann.

The final robot fight was not as cool as I imagined to be, but alas, everything else has been close to perfect.

Surprisingly super sentai has a lot of great shows lol. As great as King Ohger is, I am still hesitant to put it as number one overall. Probably I need to wait a few more years so i can put my nostalgic glass on XD

Boonboomger Episode 1:

Carranger + Kamen Rider Drive + Ultraman

Depends on how they did it, might be a fun ride.
After Akira Ishida as Dugded, now we have Junichi Suwabe as enemy and Rika Matsumoto as mecha.

Boonboomger's theme reminds me of the Transporter.

Episode 2:

After Junichi Suwabe and Rika Matsumoto, we have Nana Mizuki and Hiroshi Kamiya.

The dynamics may looks unpleasing but seems like Boonboomger working under rules of "If you dislike it, confront it directly and say it loud".
A very appreciated change after story of six kings that kept their problem inside for long time. Interestingly they did well for directing story under "Seriously, who are they?", raising question into how much the job paid, risks and of course, did they crossed the line or not especially with their ranger gear ... but this one for sixth ranger perhaps.

Overall solid second episode. Geez, sentai really not holding back for Reiwa. I guess that's something to learn for KR staffs.

Collab with Kamen Rider Drive, please.

Interesting, so they leaned into "Super Sentai lives alongside civilians" for Boonboomger.

Love how Pink is just problematic outside battle.

Ah yes, that moment Yanma actor said Jasmine is his favorite.

Still feel awkward with 4 boys + 1 girl team (+1 mecha);
But after seven episodes, I'd say BoonBoomGer is solid for patient audience.
I like this style of writing, each character still have room to grow but clearly there's more than that on their past thus the decision. As expected from Pokemon writer I guess.

Junichi Suwabe, Nana Mizuki and Hiroshi Kamiya as villains felt wasted if they didn't join the group later.

Man, that was solid episode.

I like that Mirai and Jou felt betrayed by Taiya.



Feels bad to Genba, he might be the fastest member to nerfed after Asuka / Abare Black.
