Kagura smelled all vectors in the first episode(s)? He only remarked that the female ones smelled 'differently'. Although, he wasn't fully hit by Mikono's scent until they all joined together in Aquarion. So who knows. He did chase her vector, mistaking her for Mikono...

yeah but that would really suck about the powers being split cause silvia was a angel and human. i can understand she wanted to split but then mikono is not truly silvia without her other half as well. alicia(daughter of apollonius and celiane) was born of out their 2 love.

it just seems mikono is back to being much weaker celiane(only human) and amata back to being apollonius(angel). that pretty much a forbidden union like celiane and apollonius was. also, back to destroying universe.

it is also possible kagura cannot completely smell zessica cause she is the angel-half so she doesn't really carry the full human celiane smell but more apollonius scent mixed with slight celiane's smell. mikage taking zessica cause she is more angel half of apollonius has written all over it.

There was a quote from "Skies of Aquaria" that got referenced at least tow or three times, and seems pretty "thematic". I don't have a way to check it right now, but am pretty sure it was either: "運命を飛び越える翼は誰もが持っている" or "運命を飛び越えるための翼は誰もが持っている"...actually thinking about it maybe it was "運命を飛び越える翼は誰か持っている" or "運命を飛び越えるための翼は誰か持っている"? Man now I'm not so sure which it was. It'd be either something like "Everyone has wings to overcome (their) fate" or something like "Someone has the wings to overcome fate..." which would be a *big* difference. FWIW that's supposedly one of Alisia's lines as Sylphie...so EVOL/LOVE here we come?

Some hope for Amata or not? I'm a bit worried for him again, as per usual, because some of what Mikono had to say in their little moment setting up the project seems intended to be applicable to Kagura, too...we'll see I guess.

And bakAnki: that figure really does look soooooo much better than the Aquarions in the show. I'm a bit jealous

. I think it has to be something about the way the show's models get their shading done. In real life the shading is natural so you can easily perceive the robot's 3D form, but in the anime the shading is a bit flatter (to look more cartoony) and this makes its 3D form harder to pick out, so it just looks noisy.

kuromitsu: I like the way Spada looks the best of the three, at least until it lights up its kendo facemask. Once that lights up it just looks a bit too busy to me in the face for some reason.

mayumi: wow, your post made me think of something interesting. I've mostly quit even trying to guess about reincarnation stuff, but the way you phrased that has me wondering if Amata and Mikono are like a direct re-run of something closer to the "original" story (the one from 2 cycles ago, Apollonius and Celianne), if not a direct reincarnation thereof. So it's going to come down to "same tune, different verse" versus "rewind one track and play it again", perhaps?

I don't think what's the problem. Sylvia wasn't 100% Celiane, Sirius and Sylvia were. Just like Apollo wasn't 100% Apollonius, Apollo and Aquarion were. Anyway, we don't really know if Zessica is the angel part, we don't see her with hand-wings yet, right? But if she is getting more weird powers, visions/flashbacks and is the strongest female Element, it does look slightly like that I believe.

She could also be the reincarnation of whoever was the third element in this dimension and developed Sylvia's powers to appear like her due to her envy/jealousy.

If she's the angel side, it makes sense that Kagura smelled Mikono's first (humans are stinkier ).

Remember that he didn't really recognize Mikono's smell fully until after Aquarion was released. This is a possibility. Full blooded shadow angels don't have a scent, right? I guess that being Alisia's son (his own descendant like Sylvia and Sirius were??) plus solar wings would make him less human, more shadow angel.

Kagura: Human/Beast side of "Apollon". If he's not a clone.
Mikono: Human side of "Sylvie". If she's not someone else and that cat in her hair and Mykage are trolling us.
Zessica: Angel side of "Sylvie", she stinks less because shadow angels bathe more. If she's not Rena/third pilot/Touma/etc reincarnation.

Doesn't seem that she has smelly part at all when Kagura went to look for his smelly wench through the city. On the hand Shrade's smell is the similar to Mikono's and it seems this is the reason why Shrade's gattai happens when they need to fight Kagura.

Kagura climbed the building and Zessica was in there too, only conveniently a floor away from the scene as usual. Also don't forget he went after Cayenne and Zessica too, looking for the stink. Cayenne was discarded because he wasn't the smelly wench, but he couldn't catch Zessica to smell at her up and close.

Poor Andy got ignored even if he was just beside Zessica.

Isn't it a bit stupid of know-it-all Fudou to send Mikono against Kagura ? Last time she was all sad about him being defeated. I would doubt her reliability in that particular fight. And it makes Kagura capturing her a lot easier. He just has to get her vector and it's all over. It's not as if Mikono was the super element à la Shrade so why send her ?

I wonder what Jin is up with Yunoha. I don't understand Japanese.

try this. Try smelling yourself. Then try smelling another person. generally you can't smell yourself because your so used to the smell that it's second nature to not notice it or even understand your own scent. about zessica being the third pilot. it is certainly possible cause she looked at the mirror from the third eye perspective but you know she could really be looking at her own self? because that's how sylvie looked like and she was part of sylvie(angel feather on the head and all).

i am also going to guess in this universe, sylvie - is half human/angel, apollon is also half human/angel. silvia's and apollo's love was never forbidden cause silvia was half angel/human while apollo was human. but this is the case of first reincarnation playing again with celiane and apollonius in case of mikono and amata.

also, in this universe alicia might have got apollon's power and she and amata are descendants of apollon and sylvie. amata this time getting apollon's side of soul like how silvia and sirius got celiane's.

which leads to who is shrade? he might still be sirius but you know he acted even more girly than he usually does this episode with cayenne. sirius was not that bad

Finally watched the episode! It really was great, probably the best episode so far.

Jin, poor poor Jin. XD He's completely defenseless against girls. XD The entire first part made me laugh so hard I think the whole building could hear it. I loved his animation in the opening part, I don't know who did it but it was great. I made some screenshots, they're here. Also note the hot dog scene. I'll be waiting for the inevitable doujinshi... XD;;;

Andy is really setting himself up as the resident matchmaker, isn't he. XD Loved his little lecture on gattai, with Amata providing the inevitable punchline. XD Oh, really, Andy, is it that good even with only boys...? DD

Digger sisters, aww yeah. XD Seriously pixiv, if this doesn't produce any Zessica x Mikono fanworks I'll be very disappointed. Also, so typical of Cayenne to barge in like that (I'm sure Shrade just tagged along to enjoy the impending catastrophe ). Loved Mikono's embarrassed face in the door, it was like "dad also wanted to come along..." XDDD

Amata & Mikono's talk by the movie projector. Aaaaaaaaaawwww. Poor Amata. Poor Mikono. It's so nice that they're actually opening up about these things. (Remember in the first episode when they were walking on eggshells, carefully sidestepping these issues?) And nice speech, Mikono! Go girl! >_<)/

Aquaria ga mau sora, "a film by George Yamamori" XDDD Such a short film, too!

And the hand-holding scene. AAAAAAAAWWWW. It really made the episode (for me, anyway). And it seems Amata has developed immunity to Shushu, so far so good. (I actually kept expecting Amata to grab Shushu and fling it away. XD I wouldn't be surprised if Shushu was given to Mikono by Cayenne as a way of guarding her virginity or something. Mikono will have to take care to lock it out of the bedroom on her first night, lest it does something painful to her partner's sensitive parts... XD;;; )

Damn, Kagura has the worst timing ever. XD;; And what was up with that "WHERE'S MY BITCH?!" She's right in front of you, use your nose! XDDD (And at least call her Sylphie or something ffs -_-) Btw this was the second time his mecha actually growled. wtf is up with this guy, really. (Is it the mecha or is it Kagura? Can he operate it in demonwolf form, too...??)

And lol Mykage the pro stalker. XD He really is a troll. I mean at this point I can only assume that he's having a blast messing with everyone, watching the result on his 100% natural home movie system.

Re: preview, lol Shrade speaking in music terms again XD btw I think it's pretty clear that he's piloting Aquarion because he is the strongest element around, and right now Kagura's in power up mode. I really hope he'll survive. -_-) I mean I'm sure he'll die sooner or later but he deserves to go out in a blaze of glory with Cayenne sobbing by his side (or something like that ). They're probably planning something big for the end of the first cour, but I hope it won't be Shrade dying! (My vote is on Mikono being taken away and Jin defecting to Vega's side - at least that's the most logical explanation for the "ochita kyojin" thing.)

...and I'll be without internet for a week starting from Friday. Aaaarrggggh!

Re: smell, but animals (and people) can smell themselves. Generally they have no reason to sniff around for their own scent, but they do smell and recognize their own various scents (I mean imagine a wolf that marks his territory, then a few days later wanders around thinking "I can't smell anything, am I still in my own territory?" ^^;; ) I recognize my own scent on my clothes, my bed, etc. Then again, Kagura's smelling probably works on different levels.

Btw, is it just me or are Mix's Big Bangs and Mikono's legs getting more and more impressive each episode? (Probably just me. Never mind.)

Also, Yunoha's doll is named Tama. Which is a typical name for a cat. ........what's up with Vega and cats?? ^^;; Like Altair has no women, Vega has no cats and they're coping by calling everything cute a cat?

Alisia happens to be the name of the daughter of Celiane and Apollonius. The bloodline Sylvia and Sirius descend from "De Alisia". Izumo's and Mykage's dialogue implied she could fly as well and that's where Amata got his abilities from.

Speculation, but really huge potential foreshadowing troll. Alisia even flies away in Apollo's flashback. Because there has been implication that Amata has actually yet to have any past life flashback (he's emotionally linked to the character Sylvie because his disappeared mom played her in a movie and has abandonment issues to play out the foreign nostalgia) and seems his special abilities are perhaps due to Alisia. Just like "Is Mykage just trolling Kagura and he's just an Apollo clone reincarnation" speculation.

If Kagura had human limits, sure. He's being compared with a wolf or a dog or whatever. They know their own scent because they usually imprint it on their territory.
