Up to v11, there has not really been any major development in romance department, as the series focuses more on plots actually. Although some volumes had made some of the characters realize their feelings for Haruaki (Kirika in v5, and according from what I have read in amazon review, in case of Fear, it will be in v12. While Konoha on the other hand, she realize she loves Haruaki since the very first volume/episode.). But that's all to it. Haruaki stays dense as ever.

Prior to v5 in the novel, she only had a vague awareness of her feelings, and everytime she gets to that thought, she keeps denying it inside. Not until she truly realized it in the end of v5.

About Kuroe (I forgot to mention her), she is very hard to read. She has an affection to Haruaki, that's obvious, but I can't discern whether that affection is a romantic one, or as a friend/family.

So, the part in which she said something like "I cannot even protect the man I love" in the anime was just made up. It also seemed to me she was very aware of her feelings toward Haruaki in the anime.

No, I can confirm it with the chinese translation, that line was indeed in the Light Novel, though it's not really anything strong like 'love'; 'suki' after all is vague enough so Suiri Megami Alice technically isn't wrong.

Yeah, and Kirika seems to be the only one that Haruaki might have growing feelings for. In Kuroe's, Fear's, and Konoha's cases, the affection kinda...hum...'stoped growing' or 'reached stagnation' or 'fell into the friend zone'.
