Hey, are those dug in positions situated along the edge of a volcano's crater?!
If so an eruption would explain that massive cloud, and likely be the cliffhanger at the end of episode 11. Last edited by Top Sergeant; 2013-02-14 at 12:16. |

As long as it's not moving, the Porsche Tiger can be a good tank! The cloud should be a smoke screen. Smoke and hull-down positions are integral to World War II tank combat, and it looks like the production staff has been saving them for the finale.

Looked like that Tiger (P)'s got some speed as it raced past Miho's Panzer IV.
And two Tiger IIs? Damn. That's rough. I don't think the StuG III can take those on frontally. Only the 88mm has a chance against that. I did notice that the Hetzer seems to be their secret weapon as it is in Black Forest Peak's paint job, it could slip in unnoticed if they aren't paying attention (thinking it to be one of theor Jagdpanzer IVs). Also I'm guessing Miho will have to confront the River again with the M3 Lee going out this time (its tall so they'll live). Overcome that trama. Smoke could be smoke screens, massive dust from and escape attempt, or from massed shelling. However the cloud pattern looked like a volcano blasting (that would be really bad, even for tanks).

On a sort of random note: Girls und Schlachtschiff
High Sea's Fleet verse the Dover Force? (Practically all the German dreadnoughts in 1916, without the battlecrusiers, verse HMS Dreadnought and a half dozen good pre-dreadnoughts plus destroyers and some armored cruisers). First at night and then again by day. Of course the trouble with that as a anime would be the huge cast. Not only the main ship's crew, but also enough of the bridge crew of each ship on their team, plus their enemy's teams.

They'd have to figure out how to "sink" ships safely and have them usable again for the next match. This still being a sport. Either flags again (too small) or huge smoke charges that blow a specific color (as to not be confused with damage, engine smoke (coal), or chemical smoke).
Though seeing the school's warships docked to or escorting the huge city carriers would in itself be amusing.

From PV, it seems Miho decides to help Rabbit team.
I think this foreshadows that Rabbit team will do something important in the last ep. After all effort to help them, they won't just get taken out in a few minute later right.......?
