The character designs haven't been revealed yet, so there's always the possibility they might take a slightly different approach to them even with the same person in charge. That being said, you won't feel like the minority once the designs are unveiled and people start complaining how unfaithful they are.

As long as they keep ao's adorable design from the oad's and fix akinas terrible design I don't care what they do

Great news! Yozakura Quartet has to be one of the mangas where every character is likeable (and ridiculously adorable to boot). Hopefully the anime sticks more with the style of the manga this time around. Really looking forward to the Hime scenes, .

Same as the OVAs, you mean! Which in the case of Yozakura is good news.

If they go with this, I'm in.

I hated the designs for the OVAS.

Great news, but I still doubt that an anime can even begin to compare with how awesome the artist's drawing are (same problem with Haganai, Black Rock Shooter, etc)... even in manga format, they are way to detailed for an anime to try and imitate.

Anyway, keeping staff from the OVA is a good call, the TV series might have looked better, but in the OVA the storytelling was vastly superior.

I think it's possible. The Devil Survivor 2 anime is pretty close to Yasuda's designs in the game.

Not when any sort of motion is involved

There are very few studios that have the talent and can acquire the budget to deliver animated art approaching static illustration.

Anyway, for this one I am glad that it will extend the manga, which despite being a light read, it can bear this adjective as a badge of honor, unlike the vast majority

I don't mind what the character designs are but I actually hoped they keep the atmosphere of the TV series rather than the OVA. It just felt a lot more laid back and down to earth to me (even if the actual content was pants after the first two episodes) was whereas the OVA was a lot more zany which I didn't particularly like.

From the characters page they look pretty close to the OAD designs to me. Maybe a little more round. I like how they look. PV please.

Not even sure how to feel...the art style is the major drawing point for me, and they have to and change it.
