It gives a lot more context, and there's characters in it that play a decent role in Punisher. Think of it like watching the spinoff of a main series.

I watched the first 4 episodes of the new season, and while they are quite good, Russo's 'scarred face' is fucking laughable

He has like 2 scratches, you wouldnt pay him a second look at the bus if you saw him

frubam simp for Lyria Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: on the Grandcypher Age: 40	Watched to the end Spoiler for ending: I gotta admit, I felt bad for Billy, especially in his last moments. Big kudos to Ben Barnes's stellar performance; he really made Billy feel like a victim in all of this. Frank didn't even hesitate to kill him that time(as he already made this error in an earlier ep), but the sincerity in Billy's voice... man, you just felt like he was really sorry before Frank put the final bullets in him. The thing I like most about this season was that the antagonists weren't so black-and-white. Yeah you could argue that Billy was, but I feel less so because of his memory loss. Pilgrim was kinda forced to go after Frank/Amy to pay for his wife's medical situations, and then, to protect his boys after his wife died. So there was a bit of empathy on both sides of the table for me. Amy was kinda annoying when she wouldn't tell Frank what she was being chased for in the first couple of episodes, but she rounded out pretty well after that. Dinah and Krista though, didn't like their character at all, particularly Dinah. Not that I don't get it, but she was acting like a spoiled baby all the way til the end. That last barb at Krista after the fall in the hospital was a s--- move, but I get it, that's her way of getting revenge.
