I like that Rick has finally wised up and realized it is a cold world. Dale may have morals, but that does not last long in the new world. |

I don't think he had a chance to. Although he was shooting at the guys in the flipped over car, he was winged early on in the shootout and was on the ground while the other LEOs brought the first two down.
Spoiler for New episode poiler:

Because Lori is stupid.
"OMG my husband is gone for a week, I need to sleep with his best friend!" "OMG I'm pregnant, I need to keep it a secret!" "OMG Rick must be taking his sweet time in the town because I'm not there! I better go tell him to hurry up since he already knows the girl collapsed!"

I just watched episode 1 of season 2. I love this show, but you have to admit that these people are freaking genre-ignorant. Why doesn't anybody use the goddamn buddy system? And the kids are left to wander alone? With no adult supervision? I swear to God they're all idiots. I should probably make concessions to their through-the-roof stress levels, but there's a limit to the amount of acceptable stupidity.

I still have not figured out why they are staying along the East Coast. I mean, there are tens of millions of infected along the coast that will eventually start to wander. They need to take the Philly guy's advice and head to the middle. Fewer people, longer period of time before the large herds. From there they could head to the Rockies(Very difficult for shamblers to navigate) or north into Canada. Avoid the Great lake region and get into the NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut. Almost negligible people there.
Or ANYTHING other than stay in the ocean states where all the walkers are. |

I'm not sure if this was discussed, but it has to do with Sophia and the timeframe in which she got into the barn. Watch this short video to find out what I'm talking about:
I'm really surprised at Carl's demeanor for his age.
