^ When Ikkaku gave Ichigo some coagulating ointment for his forehead wound...that's the first one I can recall, at least.

So, this chapter. I don't get it...did he died?

Personally, I think this chapter was kind of brilliant in a way. I've seen the hax power of imagination handled in many ways across various anime/manga. This is the most truthful realization of what an incredibly dangerous power it is.

Yes, you could easily be unbelievably powerful with the restraint to control such a power, but is such a power even controllable? If everything you ever imagined literally happened, you would be putting yourself in incredible danger pretty frequently. I can't tell the amount of times I've imagined fear or death in my head lol. Gremmy was unfortunate to come up against the one person who could make him lose control of his power. Every time Kenpachi did something unbelievable, you know what was going on in the back of Gremmy's mind each time. That eventually overwhelmed his imagination.

Some will call it cheap and a cop out way of winning, but I think it's pretty much what would happen eventually to someone with that kind of power in the end.

I'm sorry but to me this just came off as Kubo performing a cop out because he couldn't come up with any other way to end the fight.

Cutting meteor as if cutting some medium size hard rock goes to show the level of the author and then talking about the effect in space on a 'human' without some protective gear somewhat redeem himself a lil bit but then to 'shrug off' those effects almost completely put the author on another low...

It's a nice idea to corrupt the imagination power but it's poorly done and hardly making any sense whatsoever.. Imagine if Kira or L (from deathnote) has this imagination power then..

Think bleach and naruto are about to come to an end but the absurdity would make them won't be missed, almost give the feeling that it's a good riddance to some extent..

Though snarky, quigonkenny is actually right, shinigami are not and never have been ghosts in the Western sense of the word, especially when they are in Soul Society.

They are pretty much human, though a lot tougher.

It's pretty simple.

Gremmy started thinking of Kenpachi as being an unimaginable monster, so since he couldn't imagine how strong Kenpachi actually was, when he tried to make himself stronger, he overloaded himself and died. That's all.

This pace is soooooo extremely sloooooow. So far in this "war" we've seen 2 full fight. Only 50 to go? At this rate the manga should be finished by 2027

Gremmy's power of suggestion spectacularly backfires in the end. Kind of fitting, considering how he was exposed to so much pressure and he can't actually keep up.
