Episode 3 is the most beloved Episode out of all the ones released so far, and DEEN knows it. This marks the first time I've highly anticipated an episode and was not disappointed by the below average-ness of said episode. my only two nitpicks are that they cut out Rudolf's western duel with Belphegor, and that Siesta 410's voice took me by surprise (I do love her "nihihihihi" though), but of course I'm not going to fault the episode for silly reasons such as those. Other than that, it was a wonderfully enjoyable and wonderfully paced episode. I also believe that this proves to me that Umineko is called a "Sound Novel" for a reason, as that use of the game tracks welled up the same emotions that it did in the game for numerous scenes here.

Found a raw and watched it, but not thoroughly, just to see what they cut/what music they used. Rated it a 10 though because hello, it's got the Siestas and Jack Bauer and awesome!Kyrie.

Spoiler for impressions~:

PROS:

- They left Worldend Dominator and Dance of the Moon Rabbits in, which is awesome since the latter is one of my favorite tracks in the VN.
- The siestas' voices were amazing, especially 410's nyehe~ and 45's bumbling personality.

CONS:

- They cut the duel between Belphe and Rudolf.
- The scene between Hideyoshi and Eva-B didn't feel as emotional for me as it did in the VN. I think it was the choice of music they had in the original though, did Worldend play? I feel like it did.

Okay, originally jumping into the battle like that WAS retarded. But she didn't jump in between Belphegor and Rudolf like some moron, she was a good distance away. Only reason Belphegor was shot was because Rudolf got Belphegor into a situation that made her get pinned and killed. This time Evatrice is literally the reason for Belphegor's death, which makes her taunting look dumb.

They were announced a few weeks ago.

Siesta 45 is Mariko Mizuno (New seiyuu) and Siesta 410 is Kitamura Eri (Known best for Ami in Toradora)

Sorry but for me, even in the VN Eva-trice and Belphe looked dumb by not remarking that they were alignated as Belphe was supposed to go in her direction xD

Which is why I said they made Evatrice look even more retarded than in the VN XD Her taunt is almost stupid in that sense because she literally went in front of Belphegor, when it was Belphegor who was in front of her.

Yeah, in brief they transported the entire fault on Eva-trice, while in the VN Belphe was also part of responsible for having being dragged in front of her.

I personally thought this episode was pretty bad.

Aside from them actually getting the emotions right, they horribly slaughtered the fight scene and made it and the conversation afterward with Hideyoshi lose all impact.

Yay, awesome game music used correctly AND good directing. This is a miracle ! Siesta 410's voice really really grated me, though - glad I wasn't the only one who thought that (although her nihihi was pretty good).

Animation quality was also above average, aside from a QUALITY Evatrice face and the usual WIDE OPEN ROOMs.

10/10 just because I'm in a good mood .

...and for the love of all that is holy they'd better continue this for next episode. If it covers as far as I think it will it will cover my favorite part in the entire novel.

+ Seiyuus for this series deserve gold medals. EVERYONE is this episode did a wonderful job.

+ Like said above, HIDEYOSHI IS LIKE EPIC AWESOME. Seriously it's impossible not to like that guy.

- I found the gun duels epic, but...short?
- They really could've kept the North Wind and Sun thing out in the long run.
- The scene with Eva waking up and screaming for Hideyoshi was taken out, which kinda sucks because it drove the point home.
- Okay, biggest complaint, because it made me cry a little in the VN: the emotion of Hideyoshi hitting EVA was almost completely taken out. (If I'm correct, he started crying at one point while he was hitting her, and they used this track) Here, the emotion was just exempt.

Overall, 9.5\10, rounding it up to 10 for the poll. Nice job, DEEN.
