I hadn't looked at it this way before, but you've actually made a very good point, in so far as real life this actually does a good job in capturing the immaturity of many relationships and the natural drama that comes with it, and love it or hate it the teenage angst as well. Often we take for granted what seems logical but when you're in those types of circumstances at that time its difficult to reconcile your reason and the turbulence of the emotions your going though. You end up hurting people you didn't intend too, act rashly, and generally just wind up in a depressed state until you manage to grow out of it, learn from it, and move on, ultimately being a better person for it in the process, though not something you appreciate when it was happening.

I think Nanami is fine, if bland because she doesn't really stand out compared to the other girls.

And Asuka's hairstyle alone is different enough to easily tell the difference.

I don't think it was about telling the difference cause I honestly would hope and think that everyone could tell the difference.
It was about how similar the 2 are in looks, which in a nut shell they do.

Gotta say there is a nice feel to the last page of 107, the holding hands is oddly cute

Really? Asuka's shorter, her hairs more wild with much looser bangs, her bodies less... developed, and she seems more athletic. Nanami's neater trim helped capture her more refrained and mature personality.

Again I'll point out that that is being a little too exact in comparing the 2, it's a general comparison not a exact one.
Of course they won't be without their differences but the gist of it is they are very similar.
And yes we all know Asuka doesn't quite have the chest to be compared to the others but I think thats a given already

If you look with loupe then yeah of course they are not siimilar but in general sense they are way way too similar and that is the point.

Like I said before, any similarity was too superficial for me to really bother distinguishing, a lot of the other characters have that similar attribute to one another, beyond any physical similarity its all about personality which distinguishes them.

I want to see her get jealous and then when she tries to get him back, he just gives her a big "Screw you." She had her chance and she gave it up. No need for her to ruin his relationship with Asuka.
