Did Itsuno have a change of heart or something? Didn't he drop DMC for Dragon's Dogma retool because DMC was too dry? Or are the execs putting him up to this?

That would mean he had two changes of hearts considering that in already 2008, Capcom had plans for a DMC5 but due to the wish of bigger sales the staff decided to outsource it. Ironically, the franchise went downhill. I mean Capcom updated their sales.

DMC4 sold 2.8 million units
DMC3 sold 1.3 million units + 1 million units from SE (2.3)
DMC1 sold 2.1 million units
DMC2 sold 1.7 million units
DmC sold 1.2 million units

This surprises me a lot because of all the marketing DmC had. I never heard so much about a game 3 years before it was released

You reboot one of your biggest franchises, mostly received well, piss of the entire fanbase to not even reach half the sales of the previous instalment. Not frigging half of what DMC4 sold. Not only that but you actually end up with the worst selling game and the future of the franchise in doubt.

do they even have the resources to port it? and people with next gen consoles most likely have ps3 and xbox360's. the only way they'd buy the next gen copy is by adding content and the package is far too uninteresting for new fans to take notice for an impulse buy. it's quite generic.

The game is great, i played through the campain twise and enjoyed it very much. It rocked while playing across 3 screens with home theater surround sound.

They still make money from Monster Hunter.

Somehow I highly doubt this game is the one Capcom would chose for a 'remaster' edition.

They've been quite willing to let it 'quietly' slip under the radar after the colossus PR apocalypse that Ninja Theory gave them.

Besides, nobody else seems to be reporting this.

DmC is beyond hate for me now. I don't hate it. I just see it as much stunted compared to its brethren. Not only in terms of DMC franchise but also of other franchise that share the same style.

Nothing really reported about this, means it's gonna be a poor port with rushed, high res graphics from the previous console.

If it is true then I got a feeling no one would buy it unless they sold their own copy for the the PS4 ver or they're fans of the new DmC.

Either way it's gonna be like The Last Of Us, same everything just pumped up graphics.

I'm fine with the game, I had fun playing it and I don't really relate it with the franchise.

I guess I'm not a hardcore fan of the whole franchise but just a gamer looking for a decent game.

I got it for free on playstation plus a while back, and while the gameplay itself was decent, the game as a whole was just meh but it was still worth playing for FREE.

Well, I'm thinking of picking up this game soon since it's only 18 dollars and it's relatively cheap for me. I guess if I don't like it than I'm glad I didn't spend too much money on it.
