Just watched it with subtitles and I must say that I'm dissapointed... The first half was really boring, what made up for it was some nice action. Especially re-animated fight with Ulquiora where he actually kicked Ichi monsters ass a bit.
Second half was better starting from Ichi's transformation. The whole Yuzu scene was really nice and kind of touching. Sadly Soul Society didn't play big role here, only main starts of females fanbase were there... and one for males. However, both IchiRuki and IchiHime fans should be happy since both got some nice moments.
Also the scene after credits was quiet heart warming.

Over all I would call it a fanservice movie... we have monster Ichigo, both couple moments, fans favorites on screen and half naked Rukia... what else do fans need? It is even more of fanservice than the one with Hitsugaya =/

Hell looked quiet lame... of course it is not suppoused to be exciting and as a torture it works here but still they could make it more like at the end. Also I have no idea how Yuzu got better...

Over all, I would say it was the worst movie... at least in my opinion. Even Hitsugaya one seemed more entertaining, can't believe I'm saying that!
The only good thing about it were some nice moments that could work really well in AMVs, hope someone will make use of them.

It wasn't exactly fan service if it was shingami would have had a larger role.The only fan thing about was a naked Rukia. I liked it overall. Mostly the beginning with Ulqui vs Ichi remake. I found it neat how they revamped episode 1. My fav thing though is they made the nakamma centerfold. Kubo has been doing that though

Overall, I liked it. When it comes to Bleach or Naruto movies, I can't claim to watch it with high expectations for a great plot. I watch them first and foremost for well animated action. To that extent, movie #4 felt just fine. In fact, I think I can say I liked it the most of all the movies so far. The action scenes felt lengthy and I didn't have to wait too long for the next action scene to come around.

I agree somewhat. At the very least, it didn't seem to be filled with beings who appeared strong enough to completely overwhelm some of the true power houses this series has to offer. The residents of hells biggest strength and advantage is that they can keep reviving ad nauseum.

On a slightly different note, I have fun thinking about what would happen to Aizen if he got sent to hell in his current condition *with the hougyoku*. So many possibilities to consider. He might actually have a field day down there.

You could call it reanimated because the scene was exactly the same.

I also was dissapointed with the fact that we never saw any familiar faces in hell =/ Especially after that small episode where we saw two espadas.

OMG THE FULL MOVIE HAS BEEN SUBBED ON YOUTUBE!!!!!! (cant find it in HD tho

) its the longest vid ive ever seen uploaded in one go, i never saw an hour and a half long youtube vid b4, should i spoil it for my self or should i wait till its in eng dub on dvd so i can watch it? (you can set the dvds to japanese sub)

See if there were Espdas then it might be a fan service movie. Nah it was just telling a good story. The Espda weren't even needed

Just saw it....and boy, what a waste of a movie. Story-wise this was definitely the weakest of the four. Some nice character moments (I esp. liked how Ichigo, Ishida, Chad and Inoue have grown so close and used to each other, like in the classroom, during investigations), but these were few and far between.

Action scenes were good, but they too soon got tiresome and generic, esp. towards the 2nd half of the movie and I kept resisting the urge to fast-forward even during fight scenes.

I'd also like to point out that the first 3 movies all had great soundtracks and they go a long way to setting up the mood for any given scene. With this one, though, they were virtually nonexistent or out of place which just added to the boring factor.

I have no idea how (un)successful it did in Japan, but if they keep neglecting what makes a good movie, or a good show for that matter, in favour of fan service and mindless generic action, I shudder to think what the next movie would be like...if there's even gonna be a next one.
