Excellent episode.
It's funny - A couple weeks ago, some of us were debating over whether or not Majestic Prince should have some named character death. Since then, we've had no fewer than 4 named character deaths, two on each side. I guess Majestic Prince is "THAT" kind of show after all! Personally, I'm glad about the show getting more dramatic and realistic this way. Randy courageously went out in a blaze of glory. Patrick's death was indeed more sad, but at least his final thought was probably on the girl of his dreams. I feel a bit sad over most of Team Doberman not getting their happy ending, but at least their deaths won't be in vain. And, at a meta level, this will make future mecha fights more intense and more unpredictable. As a side-issue, I loved the look of that elite yellow mecha being used by the female Walgaru Commander. That looked cool, powerful, and stylish.

RIP Team Doberman.
Interesting that Chandra still remembers his parents. Now this not dissimilar to manga Team Rabbits having memories. Which supports my theory among the Augments that they are separated in controlled groups. Team Rabbits are among those who are wiped blank to find out their performance using the Julia system versus those who did not lose memories or have artificial memories. |

I'm shocked the guy with a fiancée waiting for him back home survived. I thought he'd be the first to kick the bucket. His chances of making it out alive at the end of the series are still low though.

Shit is gonna go down as soon as they started raising death flags with every second sentence while they were watching that video. Ah well, at least one of them survived. Or so we are shown, maybe Patrick is alive too. That Wulgaru woman was spouting crap how it isn't beautiful to fight dirty but she sure sliced that mecha from behind... maybe she didn't kill him? Next episode can't come soon enough. The battles were as gorgeous as ever. Kinda sad that the death scene overshadowed the porn video scene but eh...

it sad for team Doberman but , it was so predictable , the drama wouldn't go up without at-least one death on the good side! somehow it should be the road to some bad ass power up ? Izuru might take it as a attack since the other "hero" died

Anyway, I knew something big was going to happen after 2 Military Commanders of the Wulgaru were killed in the last episode. I hope at least Patrick survived, but it looks like all of Doberman was killed. Randy was the funniest of the bunch.

Wow...last week we finally had our first named character deaths on the villains' side, and this week, Team Doberman got wiped out. What is this show doing, making up for lost time? It almost feels as if they're pushing all of seriousness of the show into the last few episodes that was lacking the whole rest of the series. However, who am I to complain?
Anyway, this week saw Team Doberman fall as they were sent out on a secret mission in order to find the trans-dimensional gateway that the Wulgaru use to get around. However, they are quickly engaged by Gold Leader and her forces. Also at the same time, Izuru seems to be more subdued recently for some unknown reason and I think it's confirmed that Ange's aggressive personality at least, is pretty much male. I wish I could say that Randy and Patrick's deaths were epic, but unfortunately they were really pretty anticlimactic. Team Doberman has been raising death flags here and there this entire series since they were introduced, however, they've always somehow survived via plot contrivance. However, this episode alone dumped so many flags on them, even the plot armor couldn't keep up under the strain! I cringed so much during this episode as they continued to mention loved ones they were going to confess to or marry when the war was over, as they began to plan for the future, as they talked about all the stuff they were going to do when their mission was over, and all I could say to myself was, "Just shoot them now and be done with it!" So, sadly, when they actually did bite the dust, I actually kind of breathed a sigh of relief since I had been anticipating and expecting it to happen all episode. I'm actually really surprised that Chandra made it since he started the "death flag chain reaction" with his mention of his fiancee. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he dies in a later battle avenging his comrades, or if he dies at the end there off screen. Other than that, I wonder what's up with Izuru and if they well ever begin to go into his past. We're nearing the last few episodes ad I'm wondering how this will all end? How does a supposed MJP experiment, know the princess of an alien nation? What is Simon's endgame? What is Theoria's purpose in all this? Anyway, newest ED was really good and probably my favorite of the 4 shown thus far. I give this episode a 7.85/10.

I'm glad that the death flag thing was played so hard by the production staff so far. Right at the very end, the flags suddenly were so fast I realized that the death flags again were the punchline. I find it bloody hilarious, even if they died thereafter. Simply because the frequency was comical and definitely not being taken seriously.
So yes, MJP managed to find a way to take death flags not seriously and therefore stay not serious when things on face value ARE getting serious. Either way, we can stop whinging about the lack of named deaths now.
