as i saw it, Zect-sama was some kind of demon who Nagi had promised some kind of change. maybe in exchange for it was the promise in exchange for magic potential or something.
I think he just returned to the demon world or something.

I wonder if Rakan's "that old demon" really means Zect was a demon or if it was just figurative speech. Well at least a human he shouldn't be. And as Nagi was about to say something about him just after Eishun and Rakan said he died, I feel like maybe he didn't actually die.

yea, i know what you mean, the chapters seems like its providing more questions than answers. I got lost when Arika was attempting to imply something to Nagi but decided not to, than at the last chapter when Arika is facing this....intense situation.
