Even if Nintendo is having XSEED be the ones that will publish the game in America, the news about The Last Story being confirmed for a U. S. release date is excellent news.

All that's left is Pandora's Tower.

And here is the official announcement made by XSEED games, click here.
Actually I suspect that Hironobu Sakaguchi had something to do with it, as Xseed was founded by ex-Square US people.
Just checked their online store, they are selling/have Flower, Sun, and Rain and Fishing Resort (even with the fishing rod)!

Metro (free uk newspaper) has an interview up, with Sakaguchi, link
He is basically promoting his game around europe at the moment. The interview is worth a read.

I'm surprised that Nintendo let XSEED Games localise this. I remember reading that Nintendo wanted to have the exclusive right to localise their own games.

Picked up an early copy of the limited edition today. Very pleased with the steal tin and mini soundtrack/artbook additions. This is one beautiful edition.

Haven't played much of the game though i'll be playing more later in the evening. Starting off with a tutorial is not a bad idea, especially seeing as there will be quite a bit to take in as i explore more of what the game has to offer.

& there's no option to change to the Japanese audio.

Rather happy news that Last Story is coming to NA, but rather shocking that they're allowing another studio handle the publishing rights to their game... I'm actually quite grateful, NoA hires horrible VAs for their games, XSeed does a pretty decent job at it, like RF:F.

I have to say the european LE is great. It comes with extra Steel case, besides the standard polymer one, a massive EFIGS manual and Elements of The Last Story, it is basically an artbook and soundtrack CD packed in a separate box.

Don't quote me on that but, wasn't the localisation work actually carried out by the now defunct MMV US?

I'm gonna preorder this. I have Xenoblade preordered, too. I don't want to miss out on these. These will probably become rare kind of quick.

The more i play this game i find that the English dub is killing the experience for me. I dislike removing character audio when there's an option to hear voices, though i might just have to do it. They just don't watch the game at all.

Does the game require wigge-wiggle-shake-stuff? Or does it only use standard controls?

Wouldn't one of the Classic Controller Pros work well? Not sure how much room your grip has, but if it can fit then you should be able to hold it well with your other hand. They're pretty nice if you haven't tried it. Not quite as good as a Gamecube controller, but still really damn nice.

MMV is the original publisher in Japan, XSeed did the localisation in NA.

Edit: I just looked up some info on XSeed and found something quite interesting, they're actually partners now. So it's both technically right.

Talking about RF:F, not Last Story XD

Nintendo is the publisher for Last Story in Japan, XSeed is handling it here in the states.
