So "The death games...begin" huh? That doesn't bode well with me for some reason. I hope that doesn't mean we're now in for FKT v2.0. Please Kubo, for the love of all that's holy, lets keep these "death games" and all the predictable match-ups it's composed of short so we can move on to new (and hopefully more interesting) content before I die of old age.

Rukia is in heaven.
Byakuya is really the worst possible match for Tsukishima.
Did Kubo forget that Ishida got cut by Tsukishima too?

So Time man is dead. What a waste of giving him time powers. Byakuya is gonna lay the hammer on bookmark guy, I don't think the matchup is as favorable as he thinks though. We shall see.

I think Kubo knows he's milked Kenpachi's novelty dry. Maybe he'll come up with something new for him next.
Was pretty impressed with the effort Kubo put into Hitsu's hair this chap.
Indeed, I can see her playing "house" with Riruka rather than fighting.
Byakuya actually laying down logic rather than "I'm better than you, now you die" was a surprise.
Maybe Ishida is a much better actor than Ginjo (though he did seem kinda genuine with his inner thoughts).

The old man's really been one shotted? Color me surprised. He had a ridiculously hax power and he used it in the most retarded way imaginable. I guess Kubo didn't really know what to do with it. Ah well, I'm fine with those fights being short.

Rukia's fight is the most promising, although I'm not sure it'll lead to an actual fight.

As I recall, wasn't everyone complaining about how predictable Kubo was gonna be this week, saying Giriko was magically going to be OK. Seems funny now. Kubo can troll people into trolling themselves. How meta.

Nice to see Yachiru again, and Rukia and Riruka will undoubtedly be great friends in the future.

I hadn't thought of it, but Byakuya would indeed hate Tsukishima's style.

I'm gonna give Kubo the benefit of the doubt and say that he knew how hax the powers were and thus eliminated them early. I mean time control is very godlike and should be reserved to end bosses and such.

ishida bein healed of panel was lame, though it's coherent with the treatement the poor chap usually gets. rukia vs the bunnies mildly funny panel. apart from that big meh, more stalling than usual, even for kubo. I mean, what "happened" this chap? ...

I really enjoyed Yukio asking Toshiro if he needed to threaten his woman in order for him to score a boost through the power of love. He seems to know a few things about Hitsu, as well as being pretty genre-savvy.

Also, Yachiru with a crossbones hair barrette... I felt my manly machismo dissolve at her adorableness.

If that's the case, it was pretty bad move of Kubo giving him those powers without having a good idea of how he could create a decent fight using them. As if the guy doesn't have a bad enough rep for lack of planning as it is, this certainly doesn't help things. I was really thinking it would turn out Giriko was unphased by the attack last chapter thanks to his abilities, but it seems he's dead for good (w/ slim chance one of his Time Tells no Lies powers kicks in and allows him to come back)

I'm hoping that if Kenpachi is finished up with Giriko, he finds his way to the Byakuya/Tsukishima fight and ends up somehow getting cut by Tsukishima giving us a real Byakuya vs Kenpachi.
