the new guy reminds me of shinji because shinji showed up at the beginning of a new arc looking almost harmless and then knowing ichigo's name making us wary of him. so did this guy. any1 thinking theres a group of substitute soul reapers lurking in kurakara

as i read it i assumed the guy got his bag stolen by a partner to test ichigo.
i say it was his own badge because they showed ichigo's badge before in the chapter and it looked a little beat up, while the badge they showed at the end looked in fine condition.

Did Ichigo just say that he "told Chad, Inoue and the others" about his shinigami powers while he was asleep?
I thought Urahara already said he wouldnt mess with their memories back in chapter 422

Aw, so I guess Orihime hasn't confessed her love to Ichi yet.
My speculations on the whole stolen vs. lost badge thing: I think the badge at the last page is New Guy's badge and not Ichi's, because Ichi's badge was in his own schoolbag, which was Mizuiro's hands the whole time. But I do think New Guy was trying to steal Ichi's badge, and NG's badge is a fake, and he was trying to switch them or something, which was why NG invited Ichi out to Ramen. Because: he's a Soul Reaper who's stuck in a gigai and has no way to get out? Or he was totally hitting on Ichi. Either scenario would be interesting. Quote:

Ichigo at first was very charismatic, but he went all Hollow-Getsuga-Aizen and it was the only aspect that Kubo used.
It was so refreshing watching him and Keigo... that's the Ichigo that i like.
