Thank you for the reply. I know that most media forms of the same story don't always match up but at least they stay true to the plot. Can't say the same for "anime only" endings...

Considering the next anime episodes tile I wonder if they'll be able to properly fit everything until a certain scene into a single episode or if they'll end it elsewhere.

Well they did pretty good job I'd say. They weren't able to avoid cuts unfortunately, but it turned out fine in the end.

Damn the LN is almost caught up, looks to be only 9-ish WN chapters behind. That's somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of an LN volume at the current rate of WN chapters being adapted to LN. Tappei's written himself into a corner if he still wants to continue the WN.

Yep, just literally 9 chapters. I could see him delaying the next main book slipping Ex 5 in between it which finish off Wilhelm, but unless the LN goes on a mini hiatus overtaking WN inevitable at this point.

Funny enough Arc 6 looks like it is getting into end phase too.

Next week is the last episode of S2 part 1. They went through a lot of of Arc 4. I don't know how much left can be used for S2 part 2. Maybe the series can fit it Arc 5.

Yep, according to some who has the book the the afterword even the says this:

I still refer Subaru's relation with the WofS as the "interesting, good-for-nothing, loser little brother".

I always thought the Witches would treat him like that...in a messed up way. I really hope Subaru comes across Omega. That would be interesting.

Speaking about Pandora. at least Subaru knows about Hector. Maybe both will meet further in the WN.

Spoiler for Arc 6 ending: Emilia's name came back but Rem's name/memories and Julius's name are not back. Subaru, Ram and Meili find Rui, who now has a physical body, in the Green Room. Out of nowhere the Witch of Envy attacks them but Volcanica fights her off. Subaru wakes up in an unfamiliar place with Rui and Rem. The tower is nowhere to be seen. Rem wakes up but remembers nothing. So Subaru introduces himself to her as "Your Hero". Last edited by Tokkan; 2020-11-04 at 16:27.

Everyone is suspicious about why Subaru has a scent that attracts witchbeasts when he is not a member of the Witch Cult. Beatrice is very worried his mana might overflow without her to drain him because of his damaged gate. Emilia becomes very worried when Ram and Meili inform her that Subaru and Rem are not alone, the "Third Gluttony" is with them. Rem doesn't remember anything and refers to herself as "watashi" instead of her own name as before. She's unable to walk on her own due to the feedback from Ram's battle with Rye leaving her weakened. She's immediately suspicious of Subaru saying he's her hero. When Subaru talks about Rui being a bad person who they shouldn't keep around, Rem gets mad and that combined with the Witch's foul smelling scent on Subaru and her earlier suspicions leads to Rem attempting to strangle Subaru to death. She stops short of actually killing him and appears to have crawled off into the forest. Subaru chases after her but is shot with an arrow and dies from bleeding out, end of chapter. While not presented as dialog, the narration said Subaru continued to call out Rem's name over and over as he was dying. Last edited by Tokkan; 2021-01-20 at 19:19.
