Higurashi Kai BGM
I feel like I could listen to the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (VN; manga gamer) background music forever. I just finished some hard work and kept listening all the time, and I think this wonderful emotional music really helped me doing it. The "You" and "Sora no Mukou" themes are outstanding, I specially love the "Sora no Mukou" vocal version. The ogg compression is not so great but even with this quality, the music is absolutely lovely.

not sure if this is the correct thread for this and I'm sure a majority of you have already seen this, but this is basically the saddest video+music combo I've seen

This is really lovely, the background music is well chosen (the first piano chords from the "Kokoro Musubi" album are just wonderful) and the illustrations are absolutely cute. But ... the subtitles tend to ruin the images. And I have a big problem with the last line. Because in my opinion Rena acts like this because of friendship, not love, and she would go through the same hell for all of her friends - but the "I love you" sounds like she would have done it for no other person than Keiichi.
______________ Maybe someone can answer me a rather difficult question. Most Higurashi songs like the You and Dear You Versions are sung by women, because they reflect female characters. Looking at the words (english translation), it seems to me these words - like Sora no Mukou, Confession, Thanks - could mostly also represent the feelings of a male person towards a female, although they were meant to work the other way round. Could a song like Sora no Mukou also be sung by a man with these japanese lyrics or is the song totally "female" in Japanese, in ways translation cannot express? I'm asking myself this because I read some things about male and female language in Japanese. Maybe there's also male and female music. The Keiichi version of Dear You is in a major key, for example, and I don't really like it because the optimism which the arrangement is supposed to create, does not match the fragility of the melody. Just came across Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Dear You and I am in love with this song now.
I remember this was a series I never did finish either. I remember enjoying the first 6 or 7 episodes before my life changed and I didn'y have time for anime/manga anymore. Thinks I will start again and finish this time. Edit bit of searching and I have found there is a Dear You album. Nice! Last edited by Shay; 2013-09-13 at 10:47. |

I just bought the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai soundtrack album (not the anime series soundtrack by Kenji Kawai, but the sound novel soundtrack), containing 2 CDs.
Of course it is great to listen to this in CD audio quality instead of youtube ... I miss some pieces though, for example "Samayoi" and "Mienai" - the latter is played during the great "duel under the moon" scene. I love it so much because for me it reflects all the passion between Rena and Keiichi in that moment. On the other hand there are many pieces on the soundtrack album which are not part of the Manga Gamer version, maybe because of copyright issues. Nevertheless, it's a great purchase. The first of the two CDs contains the great pieces by dai, like "You", "Birth and Death", "Sora no Mukou", "LIVE", "Thanks", which is reason enough to listen to it again and again. |

Hello everyone. I searched this topic but found no answer. Can anyone tell me the title of the song used in Tsumihoroboshi hen during the water pistol battle?
I don't mean the mangagamer version which is probably this: http://youtu.be/kicRoXreYKw This track is in the music replacement pack for the chapter but the accompanying text file just states its title as "4". Here you can listen to what I mean (music starts at 2:40): http://youtu.be/1JmDPoZosrg?t=2m35s Is this from the japanese release or is it from somewhere else? I've googled for this like 4 hours but found nothing. Maybe I have better luck here. |
