Well, yeah -- not to mention, it runs in the same magazine as Aria, is being animated by the same company as Aria, has a lot of the same staff as Aria (Junichi Sato is even the supervisor)... so yeah, Aria fans should be safe in more ways than one.

I also really liked episode 1. It was a little low on the energy for my tastes, but I can't be mad with anything that had me chuckling through most of it.

As HiNo mentioned, sublime is the choice word to describe the first episode. I was so tired after such a long day... and now... I'm in peace with myself. First find of the new season for me, so I'm truly hoping the show will maintain its magic.

Yes, very nice. There were some moments that didn't work as well as others for me, but overall what a pleasant 24 minutes. I liked the character design and backgrounds. And I adore Sora: her personality and some of her little movements. But especially her voice. When Hanazawa Kana does that voice, it just grabs me by the heart and can lead me anywhere. Loved Makino Yui's voice in the ED, too, although the song itself didn't make as much of an impression. Liked the poor teacher, as well, lol. And cats are always a good thing.

Just finished the first ep and have concluded that this is the next AzuDai/Hidamari style show on the list. Definite vibes from both with maybe just a touch of pani poni dash Loved it, can't wait for more.

Nah, it's not as random as PPD was, there's just one side character that really gives me Ichijou-san vibes It's got more in common with the other two I mentioned (particularly Sora, who seems to be a cross between Osaka, Sakaki and Yuno )

The Iyashi moe is overflowing~
A true healing series. At about one minute into episode 1, I already felt warm and fuzzy. And it even got a few laughs - which is admittedly rare in this kind of series (with exceptions, obviously) - which were genuinely amusing. Like, let's draw darkness.. a loud cat.. a perfect arrangement of noodle soup, on a spoon..heavens |

Character, Style and overall mood are probably better than I was expecting but... I feel like something is lacking and I'm not completely sold. Well I may change opinion when a sub is available (hopefully this show will receive more attention than others of the same kind, like Hidamari Sketch >_<)

After reading Random Curiosity snaps and review -- looking forward to this.
Could be a sister to Hidamari Sketch but with a proper budget and no Shinbo/Shaft (who need to go on a restorative retreat or something) :P

There are several more famous seiyus voicing cats in this series...
Among them are Nakata Jouji and Kaneda Tomoko... also Itou Shizuka and Ouhara Sayaka Quote:

wow, makino yui and hanazawa kana , two of the best "cute normal girl" voices.. I see where this is going
Edit: done watching first ep.. yeah, it's very much like azumanga daioh with an added nene(potemayo)-type (the one who uses brushes as nekomimi ) Last edited by Mef; 2007-10-02 at 11:14. |
