Advertisers are bootleggers

Every so often the ad-banner at the top of the page links to sites of people selling HK bootlegs of DVDs.

If you can I'd suggest you see if you can't have them removed, or pointed to legitimate sellers in various regions.

Apparently ads from Google are shown occasionally and it's
those ads who contain links to bootleggers. This will give you
a place to complain to.

Now as to when/how to remove them -- I can't do it myself as
I have zero control over which ads are shown. But the thread
JAF mentioned also mentions that the forum may change servers
soon and when it does the ads will change too, thereby solving
the problem -- at least if I understood Mb81 (the server admin) right.

We're changing servers again? Where we moving to? New ISP or just a new box on the existing ISP? If it's a new ISP, which one?

I do notice them from time to time, and some of them are actually quite funny. But you gotta know german (like me) to understand them. I use mozilla for my browser and could just block them if I wanted to, but I know they support animesuki so I don't block them cause I want to help out animesuki as much as I can. And letting the ads be displayed is one good way to do that.

heh...I think you actually support if you click them If you don't....you don't give any support. Anyway I have them all blocked...since it's not my language and I will not likely to click them anyway

The first time I noticed we had ads was when there was that annoying American Wedding flash one. Do you remember it? The one with the really loud "clicking" noise?

Who can forget that horrible sound... Sometimes... late at night... I suddenly wake up in a cold sweat because I <gasp> heard it in my dreams!
