With your permission, could I PM you about possibly commissioning some CG art from you?

Not terribly -- you're the artist, but all I want is something akin to book jacket or dvd cover art, basically. Nothing more complex than your alternate reality one-shot art such as Empress Kallen or, while back, Shirley the Black Knight. I'll PM the rest of what I'm thinking and why.

I've been going over some of the older stories, including CC's origin of Code/Geass with the ancient "angel" people. Was this inspired by Edward Bulwer-Lytton's THE COMING RACE with the subterranean Vril-ya?

Turn of the century scifi author whose book, THE COMING RACE, was about the Vril-ya, a rac eof people who look like angels who were driven underground by The Flood, and plan to return to the surface, conquering and/or disposing of the human civilization, once space underground runs out. They utilized by will power an energy form called "vril" -- think The Force -- both to heal and to destroy. A lot of people at the time, and since then, thought it was a real announcement of a possible conquest from a subterranean master race, and it's found its way into such conspiracy theories as Nazi UFOs.

Weird, lost civilizations and super-beings that angels resemble pop up now and again in anime, and it's not too crazy to think it all flows back to Bulwer-Lytton's book.

I know, but still, subterranean race with angelic appearance, bizarre psychic(?) powers... it made me wonder if you took inspiration or not.

Very nicely done, although I'm a little lost as to where we are. Have we already seen Empress Nunnally's first encounter with Black Knights and the Japanese government, or is that for another day?

Villetta was mentioned a bit in this sequence, and it occurred I cna't remmeber seeing of or hearing of her for awhile. Has Kallen's suspicions of her been proven or disproven off-screen?

Nunnally already seen the japan government, but she out from the room because the japan minister had to speak privately with the black knights.

For Villetta, Kallen isn't the only one suspect she used Ougi for vengeance against Lelouch, but at the same time, now she's Ougi partner and pregnant of his child.

With simple words, Villetta success to cover her ass.

One can guess that from the dialogue. My question is whether this sequence has been shown illustrated yet or not.

This is true, *very* true, although one wonders how long she can keep things buried. Nearly everyone else -- even the dead -- has had to face the consequences of their actions during the rebellion, Kallen's nightmare encounter with Shirley and the people she killed being just one example.

While the government official does act like the Japanese stereotype of the office manager who behaves like a medieval feudal lord, he does make a point. While Tohdoh and Chiba are trained, competent military officers, they do not have the ability to rally the people and cannot think outside the box (an over-used phrase, but an accurate one) to over come the superiority in numbers and equipment that Britannia had. In a more equal war setting, he might have achieved a stature akin to Ulysses S. Grant or Douglas MacArthur. But he did not and that provided a constant blockade to liberating Japan which was not a problem for Lelouch.

Question -- why is Kallen blushing in panel 3? Is it simple self-consciousness after being complimented, or is it the typical anime reaction of embarrassment at someone showing off a bit too much skin, which in this case is Nunnally showing off her legs?
