but characters were quite a let down imo except Hikari. finally playing G senjou no maou lol. I noticed that of the last batch of games released in the last2months a lot of them were average except maybe midori no umi, renai 0 kilo, kkk... what else was good? also picked up Dunamis15 for the ps3 - been hearing good things about this game so i figured i might as well.. Lots of games to look forward to in the horizon but they all seem to be February next year or later like dracu-riot or that saga planet game and grisaia sequel. the Fairys.tv game is also Feb? majikoi fans will be happy soon i guess. oh and Da Capo III confirmed to be an All-ages game! ;D a lot of ppl are angry... What else is there to look forward to? I dont know anything about Dec's releases, have to wait for Micchi's post. im not sure if i will enjoy corona... ill give it a try i guess |

Circus must have a lot confidence in this new DC for it to be all-ages. |

This happened before with ToHeart 2 that used rather known seiyuu, and had some "remarkably similar-sounding actors" take their roles in the 18+ version that followed. That said, both D.C. and D.C. II had different voice actors for the adult and non-adult/anime versions, so there's already a precedent. The only difference is that this time they're releasing the all-ages version on PC to start.

Rewrite is also an all ages game and it did pretty well. So i am sure that D.C.III will sell seeing it's fanbase. Also if it's all ages, it's also more accesable to buy for some people.

Ah, it will be kinda weird to play all-ages after my 99 % of normal eroge VNs . I think the only all-aged I played were Clannad, Symphonic Rain and True Remembrance. But yeah, it shouldn't be too bad (as long as there still fanservice shots )

Please the fans under the age of 18+, then please the fans of the original 18+ way. That's the best marketing method from my viewpoint for visual novels. Quote:

Well, in the past they had different voice acting for the entire game, which I think is a bit better. Having different voice actors just for the ero scenes will really make them mismatched with the rest of the story... plus I think the idea would be that the voice actors don't necessarily want their real names associated to an adult work for propriety reasons. So either they've actually hired voice actors who can do adult work under a different pseudonym, or they might just recast the whole thing as they did before (which of course means re-recording the whole thing).

Are there any fans of the D.C. franchise who's below 18+ at this time?
In my opinion, the all-age games, or shall we say the visual novel/dating-sim without ero-element games should stay console. (though I speak as an uninformed of the Japanese market in general) Seems to be only a few all-age games work well as PC and most of the time it's because it's an established company or it's a doujin of sorts, or if it's a port of an already existing game with an already-established franchise.

Started reading SuGirly Wish but stopped halfway. I know it's a chara-ge and everything, but it just felt so....generic? (The girls were cute though) |

I tested for a bit "Gift" (the non-IOS version), but uhm ... I can list one flaw by now. It's fine and all the you can name the main lead as you like, but please if there's a default name than I'd love to see the voiced characters also voice it. It felt a bit awkward when there's suddenly silence in the dialogue the moment his name appears. I think Clannad and Kanon showed that it's possible to make the name "listenable" (unless that was due to the various full voice patches). /goes back to try to make sense of Hatsukoi Sacrament's "timeline"/flow of events I have the feelings that I just think way too complicated with it ... |
