Plot

My memories of my past life returned when I hit my head on a rock. I am Katarina Claes, the eight-year-old daughter of a Duke. While I was struggling with a high fever, it was decided that I would become a prince’s fiancée. I have now realized that this is the world of an otome game I played in my previous life.

I also realized that I had become the villainous noble girl who got in the way of the protagonist and her capture target… if the protagonist got a good ending, I would be exiled from the country with only the clothes on my back, while in the bad ending, I would be killed by the capture target… where’s my good ending!? Do I only get bad endings!?

I want to overcome all the destruction flags somehow and reach old age!

Aye, Katarina is here to enlighten us with her stylish personality. It really didn't take much to show her lifestyle in this fantasy world. The lady-like attitude she shows towards the gentlemen is rather paradoxical compared to when she loses her temper.

What's kinda unique about this is the otome factor. There's a lot of nobles in this show and the world setting fits with the overall look of the anime.

First episode has me sold on the main character's personality. And also, that opening song is super catchy! Bakarina is finally here!

They did an awesome job on designs and episode was very well made and finally seen Bakarina on the screen warms my heart and soul, This is a keeper for me, I hope that this gets dub (btw did it say it's going to be on Netflix?)

I'm not sure how many people would realize the Opening is by Angela, but it fits quite well with the kind of series this is and shows off the male and female cast and their dynamic with Bakarina quite well .

Y'know what, I'm not even going to try and make sense of how the world of this Visual Novel apparently exists as a full-fledged universe acting in real-time with real people. Girl apparently got hit by truck-kun and popped up in her Visual Novel, I'm not going to look into it more then that .

Maaya Uchida is perfect as Bakarina, and her performance is all the more impressive because she ends up playing 7-8 different versions of Catarina Claes in one episode. She goes from the stuck up noble girl to the ditzy but genuine otaku girl trying to pretend to be said noble girl in a very believable way. And the Bakarina Council was as hilarious as I was hoping it would be .

I only really realize this watching the anime, but wow adult Catarina is almost the spitting image of her mother .

Classic Bakarina. So focused on saving herself from her character's constant Bad Ends but still puts herself in harms way because she just can't help herself .

So in short order, Bakarina may have genuinely won over the prince, saved her parents marriage, and helped her little brother recover from his emotional trauma. I can't wait to see how she'll continue to upend the plot of this game .

Ah Bakarina has been brought to life in anime form. I can already see this is going to be fun. Her innocently oblivious stupidity combined with her warm hearted lovingness will be a joy to watch.

This show may be a bit of an acquired taste for some but I think many will enjoy it.

Perhaps the best thing about the whole "reincarnated as a villainess" trope is that it forces the MC to be proactive. Too many shoujo MCs are passive.
