of course, some certain line of quality is needed, otherwise, regardless of genre, bad writing is bad writing cough*IS*cough. But it's far harder for a works to be recognize as good by eveyoone compare to bad works recognize by everyone. But when you cross the a certain level, it's mostly depended on the taste of readers to decide what's is good and truly good. So i'd still say it's more depended on genre.

Theme here is refer to the atmosphere or the nature of the novel, for example, all Kagami's works ( Denyuuden, Itsuten,..) have different setting, but their atmosphere is the same, it's also applied for Nanasawa( SHinigamisoujo, this thread), and Kamachi ( HO, TAMNI,...)

That is more setting rather than theme my friend.

@Zefyris: seriously, at least toned down a little, people could get offended by the way you use your words.

The point is, the genre they write and the main theme of their works is completely differents, it make no sense to compare them.
Unfortunately, toning down won't change the reality of things. I'm just calling a spade a spade and telling what I experienced with him.
But like I said, we can always put this on the "difference of taste" and call it a day anyway. I wish Kazuma Kamachi was even half as good as his fans on this boards believe he is. I mean I like the ideas he has so would have loved his books. So I really would have liked him to be a good author.

But anyway, back on topic. Those books will come with my current order. Will probably read them before June. Expecting a nice read here :3

Started reading this and some of the other author's works recently. I kinda like with the way the story has been developing and also the world building in particular the Libelika Continent.

Didn't manage to "read that before june" contrary to what I wrote earleir, still haven't read it.
Anyway, I got the volume 3. It's confirmed both from the author and the editor that this is the last volume, so the LN version is 3 volumes long.
BTW the number of chapters stayed the same as the WN, 48 as a whole. It is unknown to me if their content was extended/changed or not.

So I finished that story a while ago.
I think Noel is the best MC among Nanasawa's works so far. She's more nuanced, more complex and probably more likeable than the two others.
If Yuusha was white and Sherah black, Noel is grey.
I'll point out that it's the first time the MC isn't a true Oretuee.

However, the story itself isn't as good as Shinigami wo tabeta shoujo imo. The way fights and some battles are "resolved" seems sometimes very difficult to believe.
