Sorry, this really is just how I feel, I don't get the hype for Kaname (or Messer) or her VA.

For me, any hype for Messer is related to him being central to the two best episodes in the series (AXIA performance one and the next episode's sending off one; I can't recall what numbers they were).

I don't think I can convince you that Kaname and her VA/singer are any good if you think that, though. I wouldn't call myself an expert in music but I am involved in its creation. I've heard a LOT of crappy idol music where really nobody has any talent. Kaname's voice is on a whole different level from the abilities of those people. A lot of the time Minori Suzuki to me seems to be just trying to yell her higher lines, and while that does work well with her character I worry that just might be her standard singing style which would not fit at all in other roles. JUNNA can be very inconsistent in her performances (and doesn't seem to do ballads or soft songs very well... unfortunately her favorite song from Delta was Giraffe Blues

). I'm not going to talk about the other two.

Kaname's voice just seems to be the most versatile, consistent, and skilled to me, when it comes to singing. I like her more than every single singer in Macross aside from Yoshiki Fukuyama, May'n, and Megumi Nakajima. And I like her character more than anyone else's in Delta (not that there's much good to go around in Delta's characters)... It's all up to opinion, though.

EDIT: Since I mentioned JUNNA's favorite Delta song, I figured I might as well reveal the other Walküre members' favorite songs (except Freyja's because either I missed hers or just forgot). JUNNA's is Giraffe Blues, Kaname's is Axia, Reina's is Koi Halation The War, and Makina's is Gilitic Beginner.

Macross Frontier Singer Sheryl Nome Teases Return - AnimeNewsNetwork

The Alta Vision screen in Shinjuku and UDX Vision screen in Akihabara revealed a teaser video on Monday that teases the return of the Macross Frontier character Sheryl Nome. A new video will be shown on the same screens on Sunday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m. to give more information.

I'm playing the Macross rythm mobile game, and man, can't get Totsugeki Love Heart out of my head. I actually don't remember it ever playing in M7, but then again I never did enjoy M7, so it may just be me mentally blocking everything out. XD
