A green gas, you say? If Chlorine was the major component, then it would emit a greenish tone upon spreading. Heavy amounts of chlorine can cause internal bleeding, blurry vision, hard coughing, lung pain, chest pain, skin complications and eventually asphyxiation. I believe they used chlorine gas (bertholite) in the first World War as well.

I thought Novichok was meant to be undetectable by even NATO's chemical detection equipment? And the Nova Gas from Black Ops kills within seconds; not quite the "slow death" we're looking at here.

They gave them a colour to distinguish them ingame. Or it can only be seen through cameras.

Or it could be a prototype Novichok which the Russians had problems disposing, until Makarov offered to help the government "dispose" of them.

I noticed a sudden increase in quality in terms of blockbuster movie scenes. Then very large decrease in quality when it turns back into gameplay. Was during the moment where you were heading down the sewers and taking the gas mask off.

That is the best explanation I've ever heard, sir. I concede and conclude that it 100% must be Novichok.

Also, that sounds awesome- one thing that never fails to please in a Call of Duty game are the cinematics, so hearing that there's a big quality increase for cutscenes is nice. I could care less how nice it looks while you actually play; I'll have to compare for myself when I get the game around 2 years from now. >.>

Now that you mention it, I also think it is chlorine. The scene in Somalia had Price holding a gasmask to get a local warlord to spill out the beans in exchange of the mask after Price opened the canister.

We all know that breathing through a filter or a gasmask blocks chlorine. And besides, the rigged trucks were the weapons used against government institutions while the gas was probably a supplement to create mass panic since the aim is not to gas entire cities.

That detail sure gives me more tools for my next idea of an upcoming crossover fanfic.

About the cinematics... hell yeah! The thing I always liked about COD is the dramatic effect of the cinematics going with the storyline. I played so many video games over the years, but the one thing which always get me on the edge of my seat are the cinematics flowing with the storyline no matter how are the overall graphics in the game.

Special Ops is sorta easy. The only way you can really lose is if you get an attack dog armed with explosives on your head. Or you lag like crazy which happened to me multiple times..

I dunno, I watched my friend play the campaign and the spectacles are HUGE. Up until now, Call of Duty games had nice cinematics, but we rarely got a huge building collapsing down or another show of grandeur. Now, I am aware that all of this is probably to match Battlefield 3, but hey, they DID something, so let's give them a little credit.

Of course I'm not going to buy it because the day I fork over $60+ for any shooter is the day I swallow cyanide pills, but I'm sure I'll be playing the fun campaign and losing horribly online later by borrowing my friend's copy.

The best choice is here. The multiplayer is the main focus for Modern Warfare III with a short campaign to it. Special Ops may be nice, but it just gets dull overtime and reminds me of the Last Stand feature in Dawn of War II but with no final wave. Which just means endless grinding for both multiplayer and special ops. The campaign was wonderful I must admit, the cinematics were well-made and the story all bashed together from the previous Modern Warfare games. But that's about it, cant say it was too hard except when I was playing as Frost and getting shot from all sides.

Not really worth the $60 for me when I could just play Skyrim which I'm doing now.

Don't bother. Save your money until he game goes cheap. Some of the levels missions are repeats from the previous games. (eg.Heli coming and use rpg to shoot it, defend position, slo-mo shoot-out, do not kill this target, blow up that thing for us etc.)

That's what I'm expecting from MW3's campaign. And don't worry, I don't plan on paying in full lol.
