My guess is that Gray is just infiltrating so he can get a lead on where to find the book and also slay some demons.

No the devil slayer mark was on his other arm, the side of the blackness is the place his body that took in the King of Hade spell is. This may be a left over from the King of Hade spell and it seen to be eating into him again and may be messing with his mind, do to the King of Hades may be trying to possession so he can live again.

I'd have a serious problem if some random Zeref cultists can hold a candle to Tartaros. If we ignore Gray, Natsu alone should be overkill now that he's Gildartz-level. If we assume Gray keeps Natsu busy, Lucy+Wendy+Juvia+Sabertooth can have the rest. Maybe Crime Sorciere, since they don't get enough action.

Actually, the Devil Slayer crest was on his right arm, and the side that tanked Memento Mori was his left. Just checked the other day.

I think :

the leader of AVATAR is a "Dreyar" (Makarov or the son). Probably Mirajane has the same side effect of Gray.

Look at it this way, we should learn more about END in this arc. Why are people acting like Kishi is the first ever to have a rival backstabbing some one and going evil? Plenty of Anime had that arc before Naruto, these comparisons are getting very annoying. I'm seeing it in the Gravity Fall fandom even >>

Any ways, I think will be getting down to the whole Future Rouge thing first. I look forward to seeing Sting again. I hope when Natsu fights Gray that they are even in fighting, that'd be fun.

what are you talking about cliches don't exist this has to be a rip off of Naruto or another popular show I've watch kishi so stole the idea from them it's not like the rival or friend turning evil idea has existed for I don't know forever.

Ha Yah, poor Sting got the short end of the stick here
Must have been cuz his idole went missing for a year

I knew it, I knew Natsu went to go talk to Rouge about that, congrats Natsu smart move on your part. Didn't think that theory of Gray killing the annoying frog would turn out to be true, out of all the cast I was surprised it was him.
