For the record, by Christmas, I had watched Saki -- at least -- 20 times -- per episode. Meaning, repeated iterations, I skipped around when I wanted to. === Also make .... all 15532 iterations of Endless Eight. Kekekekeke

As for more series to add to my list: Madoka★Magica - I'd like to see Akiyuki Shinbo get a green light on the slice-of-life Madoka series he wants to do. To Aru Majutsu no Index - I expect to see an Index III sometime in the future.

A continuation of Stein;s Gate, Madoka and Haruhi would be excellent if it was a crossover. Okabe, Homura and Mikuru fighting for the survival of their timelines backed by LabMem, goddess Madoka and SOS dan. Insert in cameos from other anime like Makoto (Girl who leapt through time), etc and it would be an epic adventure.
Straight continuations of Sora no Oto, K-ON, Skip Beat!, Haruhi and Freezing would be nice. A fully fleshed out School Rumble 3 would also be great as would new seasons of current series Nichijo, Natsume and Nekogami |

Series continuance:
I'd like to see Mahoraba: Heartful Days finished (the anime-only ending was ambiguous enough this isn't a problem) I'd like to see more of the Seitokai Yakuindomo books animated. I'd like to see Spice & Wolf finished now that the novels are done. And I'd like a pink unicorn pony that flies ... yeah.

There are plenty of course, but rather than posting a long, boring list that probably no one cares about, I will just emphasize one - Mushishi.
Everything about that anime was wonderful. Every episode was a balanced, slightly poignant short story that often left no conclusive "message" or resolution - but did leave an almost unidentifiable emotion which prompted you to contemplate life itself. This, I've noticed, is something characteristic to japanese literature, and as such this anime probably comes the closest to real art. Months, now years after having watched it, one of those short stories or music pieces still comes to mind. The manga does go on for quite a bit after the story told in the anime. I haven't read it yet so I'm not sure if the rest of the stories are as quality as the ones they've chosen to be in the anime but the format couldn't be more perfect (there are already three seasons of the inferior Natsume Yuujinchou, which sports a similar way of storytelling). So, I see another season Mushishi as being quite feasible, if now completely unlikely. |
