Fun first half...that quickly devolved into the typical diarrhea of the mouth this show seems to excel at...It's a good thing I was already somewhat familiar with the Tree of Sephiroth from seeing it in NGE otherwise I have the distinct feeling I woulda been pretty dumbfounded about what they where talking about...

Guess I just need to make peace with the fact that explanations in this show come at you like a giant information dump instead of more...Narratively smooth and naturally...

Thanks . I watched AoShen's for, like, 5 secs. The video quality was so horrible, like off of a VHS tape :\. It was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it for the quality.

As for the episode itself, I thought it was okay. It kinda sucked that I was paying attention to the mixed up appearances and Touma going off on a tangent, which gave me a much lower impression of the episode overall.

Index was hot at the beginning. It's something about a semi-loli in a one-piece that's so cute. Man-Index was horrific though :\.

And how the hell is Tsuchi part of Necessarius? I thought it was a magicians-only org. Then again, I suppose from a battle perspective, there really isn't a difference btw magic and espers. Well, with 4 people fighting, this arc might be pretty action packed(i hope).

Imagine if the greatest magician and probably public enemy number one in the churches list suddenly turns his back on magic and pursues science, giving millions Esper abilities.

Wouldn't you the church militant be concerned?

The fact that Aleister Crowley created Academy City isolating it from both the muggle world and magic world would make them suspicious.

I guess Motoharu is also assigned in obeserving Index as he lives in the same apartment as Touma.

Not to mention try to figure out Kamijou Touma and his Imagine Breaker.

I suspect other than the higher ups of Academy City nobody knows of Touma's ability.

Potentially Touma is the ultimate equalizer when it comes both magicians and espers.


Especially now that he has been exiled for the moment from Academy City.

He ruined the Level 6 project.


On the Nescessarius' part Touma is a unknown unpredictable element.

It would be better if he would side with them but alas Touma exposed their gambit on Index and the Science side has claim to him.

Not to mention defeating Stiyl, Index's defensive programming and the rogue Aureolus Izzard.


Simply put hidden organizations with agendas don't like this meddling hero of justice.



Though I have to wonder... Which girl is Touma going to raise flags this time? Kaori or Nisha? Or both?

I've got it figured out. The world that they are currently seeing is the actual world, but the view of the actual world was sealed by the trinket his dad had. When Touma touched the trinket with his right hand, it broke the magic and the world starting looking like it actually was again.

I'm pretty sure the world hacking started before he met his father. When he got the wake-up phone call from the coughing guy, he already had Stiyl's voice. Not to mention they made an effort to not show Index in bed.

I'm wondering why Komori used her real name as a reporter when everyone seems to use the name of the identity they've taken. Coincidence? Forgetfulness on the part of the writer?

Wow, that episode was pretty damn trippy, although it started making sense after a while with the help of this thread.

It'll be interesting to figure out who the culprit is, as I didn't find any info on Wiki that came even close.

As the one Index fan around here, I must say I preferred her original swimsuit over the one Touma's dad chose for Touma's mom. After all, the one using it wasn't really Index.

I did notice when Index was in the bath that the rubber duck became a rubber chicken. I suppose they might have placed some other details like that in the first half of the episode.

Looking at the explaination of Angel Fall it is almost Haruhi-esque.

If indeed Touma is at the center of this change could it be a side effect of his Imagine Breaker?

Perhaps it breeds more than bad luck but improbabilities.

I don't recall it ever being explained in Evangelion, it just appears in the OP and a few other places.

No unfortunately, Touma lost all of his memories up until the point where he woke up in the hospital at the end of episode six. He can still talk and write and do all the other normal stuff, but all the events in his life and the people he knew are gone from his memory.
