Late to the party... but the later the party, the better the guests

I totally feel with Rikka here, can't stand math myself. The ugly thing about math is not only that you have to go to great lenghts to learn all that disgusting math crap. Afterwards you'll find that at least 90% of the math crap you were forced to learn is totally useless, and you'll never need it again (unless you unwisely chose some math-intensive work, e.g. in the finance sector).

Also, there's finally scientific proof that Math causes physical pain!
Ha, I already knew that all the time!

The samurai back then were completely right: Math is the wicked tool of the lowest merchant class, and no even remotely honourable man shall occupy himself with this devilish stuff!

I think part of it is because it's like saying: "You smell." As well as because it's not blaming Dekomori, who is actually the one to blame. I wouldn't have hit anyone, but I would have found both those aspects pretty frustrating, if I were Mori Summer.

I liked the fact that they did not suddenly make Rikka a math genius with among the highest marks in the class like other anime series have done.

To be fair, the math (or any science subject) tests up to undergraduate level are usually designed so that any student can ace it if they tried hard enough. Getting a perfect score doesn't mean one is a genius.
